Gardeners: Do you wish there were more plant varieties?

I love gardening. In animal crossing and in real life. But does amyone wish we had more variety when it comes to plants and trees especially?

I wish we could grow japanese maples (acer palmatum). They would be perfect for animal crossing! All of the possibilities. Bright red, purple, yellow, and orange trees year round.

Also, the cedar trees could come in different varieties, such as small, normal, tall or wide. And fir trees anyone?

I feel like the gardening shop should have never merged with the department store. They definetely could have expanded the gardening shop concept !

I don't garden in real life, but I do like it in ACNL (and the Mii Plaza). I've found myself wishing for more kinds of flowers, but also for bushes from which you can harvest berries. They should definitely expand on it, because I'd love to create something like a vineyard.

I think flowering trees would be nice. The cherry blossoms were too short. I think dogwood trees would look gorgeous with their dark green leaves and white flowers.

I don't garden in real life either, but I would like to have more outside plant variety. Maybe different types of trees like red maples or something. That'd be nice.

Those Japanese maple trees looks beautiful. I would love to have them in my town. Too much green.... I want weeping willows as well.

I definitely agree that the gardening shop should have remained its own thing. They could have made more trees and flowers and bushes available. Also allowing you to buy in bulk would be nice. You could place an order with Leif for whatever you want and it would either be mailed to you or you'd have to pick up up next mail delivery or something,

I wish we could have sunflowers and peonies as well. Berry bushes would be nice too. I want larger bushes too.. More like hedges. Maybe Leif could sell shears to trim them.

In AC I wish we could grow berry bushes, grow our own bonzai from regular fruit,
have more tree variety, have plants such as lavander or mint...

I would love to have sunflowers in AC (as big as bamboo). Right now I'm also playing Disney Magical World and there is A LOT of seeds to plant (70 different kinds) and you have to keep them watered otherwise you don't get a good harvest from them. So I'm getting burned out on planting/harvesting.

Oh efflou a weeping willow would be so beautiful! I like the butterfly bushes with their purple, pink or yellow flowers. They drape as well, they'd be lovely to soften the edges.

How about wisteria vines to complement the trellis?

Yeah, I love gardening! As long as they keep it simple, to fit with the whole AC thing, I really wish they would expand it. I would love to be able to create a vegetable garden. It could even be a PWP, like the fence, but you can grow veggies in it and sell them like fruit, and you have to get the "non-native" veggies from villagers or friends, or the island, like the fruit is. I'd love to see the weeping willows, too! That would be GORGEOUS! Ditto the Japanese maples!

I love this thread. Yes more variety of trees. I would love it It would be a wonderful addition. Oh I would love to see maybe some vegetables too I love vegetable gardening. I make my own salsa and hot sauce every year

I agree, t he gardening shop was SO CUTE and quaint. I like it better than the "final form" where it's part of the department store.

I love varieties of plants and would love to see any additions, really. I garden IRL, my garden is mostly antique rose varieties.
