So, my wife went out of town this morning until around midnight Sat. That means that I have tonight, tomorrow night and all day Saturday to catch up on some games that have been neglected.

I'll probably be playing Corruption most of the time, but I will have to spend some time to show my VC games some love...especially since I have 17 VC titles and have only beaten 1 (which you can't really count b/c its Mario Bros). I will most likely beat both Super Metroid and Neutopia this weekend, but I may want to spend some time with Paper Mario because I haven't touched it since Super Metroid came out. So what do you guys think?

Always good to get some more play time in. Enjoy! Neutopia isn't overly long so you should be able to finish fairly quickly.

Well I finally got my 2000 points today, so I downloaded Lolo, Shining Force and Neutopia 2. I've only played Lolo so far since I was busy with MP3, but I will definitely be playing SF tomorrow. I'm gonna hold off on N2 until after I beat the original.

Demise, did you get to see my post about a Toys R' Us deal that's running this week (I posted it on Papa's Christmas post)?

Yes I did. I'm kinda torn. I was gonna go garage saleing Sat morn, to find some legacy stuff, but now I may hold my cash and get some more Wii Points. 4000 points for $30 is a pretty good deal. Thankfully the T"R"U in my area gets no business, so there should be plenty of cards available.

Did you post the days for that? Does it start on Fri or Sat or is it going on now?

I read about it today on gonintendo, and then went to the online website of TRU and saw the accessory deal. Then, checking the videogames section, I saw the 3 for 2 deal. It seems like the deals started this Monday (or Sunday) in stealth mode. I guess it runs until Sunday (or Saturday). It's better if you go tomorrow, just in case. I'm going to see if I can buy a couple of Wii Points Cards or one Wii Points Card and a PS2 Memory Card (I'm in need of one of those).

So is it for all games, not just new ones? (probably equal or lesser value) I may pick up some GC or PS2 games that I've been wanting.

It's not for every game, just selected ones. I was thinking on buying Metroid Prime 3, and Super Paper Mario, but there was no third game of the same price that I wanted to buy (at least online. There was Ninja Gaiden Sigma.... but I don't have a PS3 T_T). I also shouldn't be spending a lot of money now, since I just received a couple of orders I made a few weeks ago (anime dvds and computer books).

Well, I'll check it out tomorrow after work (I hate work right now). Thanks for the info. I'm signing off for the night. Talk to everyone tommorah.

I didn't know Toy R Us was doing that! Too bad I don't know of any here in Western Montana... The closest is in Washington I think, but I don't want to pay that ridiculous sales tax...

An update on the TRU's deals: It looks like the 3-for-2 deal is only on selected games online, but it is in all in-stock games in regular stores (according to some comments posted in the article at gonintendo). I haven't been able to go to my local TRU (I'll go in a couple of hours); I'll let you know tonight.

Cool...I may stop by after work, but I'm kinda busy tonight. Let me know, I may go first thing in the morning.

I hope I can carve out some time to stop by my local TRU. That deal is too good to pass up.

@Demise: On the odd chance I get some time to myself, I too usually end up gaming in lieu of more constructive activities like fixing/finishing stuff around the house (we are about 80% done with and addition to our house we did ourselves, added a bedroom and bathroom, remodeled the kitchen, reshingled the roof, and put all new windows and vinyl siding on the exterior). But hey, you gotta have some downtime!!

Ok, I went to my local TRU and it's true, the offer is for all in-stock games. It ends tomorrow (Saturday) by the way.

I was going to purchase Okami and a couple more games (one for me, and another for my little cousin). I went to the counter and asked for the game (which I saw on the shelves behind the counter), and the guy told me that they no longer had Okami. I asked about the cases that I saw, and he told that they were just empty cases (the ones that they use so that people don't steal the games). And I was, internally, screaming: "NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!" (visualize Pedro from Excel Saga if you have seen this anime).

I went to the TRU in Times Square, but it was the same thing. In the end I bought two Wii Points Cards (oh, I didn't buy the Memory Card for the PS2 because they were selling them at $25, what the heck!?).

Well, my gaming weekend is predictable if you know me well; Fire Emblem, Shining Force, and a little something else.

:)

I was playing Shining Force tonight. It's not quite what I thought it would be, but I'm not that far into it, and really have no idea how to strategize my combat.

I too went to TRU tonight. They have a few things that I want, but I'm gonna wait til tomorrow, because we are having a Neighborhood Yard Sale and I wanna to see if I can get any NES/SNES/N64 games. If I don't pick anything up I will either buy 4000 Wii Points or get this combo of buy 2 get 1 free: Paper Mario: TTYD, Picross DS, Kingdom Hearts 2.

I haven't decided which I would rather have. I could always use the Wii points but I've only played TTYD before so I would be getting 2 entirely new games. Is KH2 really as good as everyone makes it out to be?

I'll probably be playing MP3 tomorrow like crazy.... and when I'm not doing that, I'll be on here, watching TV, or out somewhere.

So my gaminig weekend was pretty good. I wound up going to TRU and got Picross DS, Kingdom Hearts II and Paper Mario: TTYD for $40. Not too bad all in all. I also got in some good MP3 time and was able to play some VC games that needed some love.

Nice to hear that. Sorry that I didn't give you my opinion on the other thread, I was going to tell you that even if I went with option 1, that I though option 2 was better, mainly because GC games are going out of print, and you might not find them the next time a deal comes.

I actually end up buying Mario Kart: Double Dash (yeah, I don't know how I managed to ignored that one all this time), and a couple of gifts for Christmas. But I couldn't find Okami T_T.
