Gameplay question

I was playing acnl today and realized I forgot to do my homework (lol). I plugged my charger in my 2DS and finished my homework. Once it was finished. I got up completly unaware of the charger hanging right in front of me with the 2DS on the table being charged. I accidentally tripped on the wire and me and the 2ds fell striaght on the ground. I was not injured or anything but when my 2DS fell the upper part of the back of the 2ds half way fell out. Everything is working fine except for the touch screen. When I try to tap it either doesnt work or it only functions on 1 part of the screen. Will it affect any gameplay? I understand if it makes it harder to play but will something not work unless its touch screen? Thank you, have a nice day!

Some of the affected functions will be your chat, the mayor's emotions, patterns, and moving things in your inventory around with your stylus. However, you can also do all of these things with the buttons (well, making patterns might be very miserable, but there's always the QR machine for that), so I think you'll be fine.
