That's true. I wish they made a wireless GameCube controller without all the bulk and with rumble. It's probably possible now, but it may not have been at the time. But then she spirited her GC and all its games to Cali. uAu
I've been wanting to pick up some Gamecube games for my Wii, especially because they're cheap now. :>

Anyways, I only had my Gamecube for about 4 months before I got my Wii. Here are the games I had:
Animal Crossing (Amazing game. My personal favorite.)
Tony Hawk's Underground 2
Super Smash Bros Melee
Naruto Clash of Ninja 2
...Not very many, but they were all great games imo.

I HATED when mine stopped having a perfect connection. I had to turn it on/off sometimes, and/or hit the back/battery compartment for it to start working. I did decent, got in the top places, but when I would nearly get first, some random guy would speed by me and make me eat their super heated dust...

star fox assault was awful.
edit: to avoid "lolnoreasonxD"
the controls were *censored.2.0*, compared to star fox 64. the graphics were nice and pretty, smooth, whatever. I guess that's nice, but I remember getting the feeling that I was running into things that i wasn't really running into, or something along those lines. that, or again, the controls are/were *censored.2.0*, laggy.
the multiplayer wasn't very good, as I remember, or I was playing it completely wrong. of course, compared to other star fox games, I guess it's alright. (lol star fox command was wifi or download-demo only, right?)
I don't really remember the story, other than something about some insects invading the solar system or something like that, I didn't really care I just wanted to shoot some stuff, which wasn't too good due to the sloooow controlling/maneuvering of the arwing/ship/whatever.
the game really just failed to be good in my eyes, due to star fox 64 being epic. assault just can't compare.
hope to god the 3ds one is as good/better than the original.

The gamecube has to be the best Nintendo System of all time and it's my absolute favorite. From the great memorable games all the way to the e-reader. The Gamecube has to have the best support from the Zelda Series from Wind Waker to Ocaina of Time Master Quest. I also have to say Nintendo made sure that almost all Nintendo Series are represented from Mario to Chi bi Robo and it is also home to the best AC game ever produced from the memorable gameplay and music to the Island and the e-reader capabilities.
The Gamecube was also my very first home video game console so that makes it more special for me and I also got it just in time to experience its last day of splendor and shine. I can just go all day about the Gamecube so just to make it simple:
