Game stuck saving.. help

My game has been saving for about a full two minutes now and I'm getting pretty worried. I'm scared it's going to get corrupted or something and I don't want to turn the switch off cause that'll definitely corrupt it. What do I do??

Just put the switch in sleep mode. It will not instantly become corrupted just because of that. If anything it would just roll back to a previous save point a few minutes prior. No modern game with auto save would have such a sensitive save file.

What instigated this? Were you going online? Did you do terraforming? Bought stuff? etc.?
Since sleep mode didn't help, you might have to force close it.

I had my game on sleep mode, I turned it on and immediately saved.

And I'll try it.. I'm so scared

Good luck. Hope it doesn't corrupt your file. I had something like this happening to me before (power outage while my game was saving, ok the PS4), and luckily, it didn't corrupt anything.

It happened to me a few weeks ago. It took about 5 minutes to save but everything was fine.

Happens sometimes with this game.

It once took about 10 minutes to load my island.
