I think they came out the same time as the standard DS came out (DS Fat) as I remember getting one of those for Christmas while my brothers got a DS.
I just sold my old green one, the one I got for christmas, and I still have a silver one, which had a broken screen and I had repaired it. I think I might be selling that one too, as I don't use it and don't have many games for it.
Just wondering how many of you have a Game Boy Micro, because I don't think they were very popular in the UK at all, in fact, my two are the only ones I've ever seen.
I had one in pink, haha. Although I have lost its charger and I have no patience to order one from the internet.
I suppose I'll have to order one if I want to play my GBA games again, as it's the only console in the house that can play them, as I don't have my DS lite anymore.
Overall it's an awesome handheld console, and if I had the time to play it again I'd snap that chance up.
I don't think they were very popular at all anywhere. I saw like one commericial on TV about it years ago and that was it. They just vanished after that lol. Of course I wasn't looking for them either XD
I can't judge since I never even seen one in real life but it doesn't really appeal to me at all. I like my SP. It's blue I had a black one but somehow a bunch of black liquid from within the system came out from underneath the screen and it wouldn't go away so yah :c but I got a new blue one years later along with a new copy of Pokemon Emerald.
I got a red one, with a black Pikachu faceplate. I probably wouldn't have gotten one if they did not hand one out to every Journey Across America National Championship participant.
I remember them very well after I saw Lindsey getting hers. I think the problem with them (as much as I hate to admit) was they were marketed towards the older audience, older teens/young adults and the like. We really are the true gaming generation, they would have a lot more success with those markets than they did, what, 8 years ago?
I had the original gameboy advance and the SP, I remember thinking of how horrible it would be to play a game on those terrible small screens.
My brother has one... I might have to swipe it from him when I visit his house tonight so I don't have to carry my DS lite everywhere with me in order to play my GBA pokemon games...
I was trying to win one in an arcade and my friend asked for a go, so I let him play the arcade game I was using and typically he won the micro. It's small, and that's the only thing going for it. Totally pointless hand held console.
I have a green one, along with my other stuff in a box on one of my shelves. I do use it from time to time, but it's limited due to the fact that the GC-GBA link cable doesn't work with it. Maybe if I could find one, and a wireless adapter, it might get more use.
