Hey guys. i recently strated up my acnl game with a whole new town and everything. Im making a living room and I got the age old error: too many times. The thing is, I only have about 20 or so items so far. I thought the limit was around 40. This is the main level main room in the center. Did this change? Im a little surprised at this.

Is it fully expanded? If it isn't, maybe the limit is a bit less?

yeah. fully upgraded and ready to fill up. it was really odd, and I know there have been TONS of updates since I last played.

I believe it is more about the amount of space your items take up than the actual number of items. OR sometimes I have gotten that message when I was trying to put the item down in a space too small for it.
