I would like a in-game calendar. I saw that in a Harvest moon game and really liked the idea. I know that you're constantly reminded about stuff in AC so it wouldn't really be that necessary. But still :3 I know this has been mentioned a lot but.. Being able to decide the postions of villager's plots would be nice!

Deciding where villagers houses go! I've spent so many hours plot resetting only to give up in the end and settle on a not-so-great spot. I agree with the mail thing as well, especially if every single one of your letters are from T&T.
Also maybe having some sort of friendship level meter? So you can see where your friendships with all your villagers lie on the scale!

The in-game calendar is a really great idea!! I always checked the calendar in harvest moon games every night haha lol It would be neat to be able to see all the events in that month so we don't have to keep checking online for events schedule.. c:

It's a really small thing, but I wish NPCs wouldn't keep asking me if I know how to use my tools... like Timmy & Tommy.. please stop asking me if I know how to use a wrapping paper, every single time I buy it? I keep saying no to them but they still ask me like bazillion times .____. I just wanna..#@$*@#$... XD

Friendship meter sounds pretty good too.. and of course, picking out a spot for villager plot... and more rooms for qr codes..xD

I really REALLY wish PWP's could be rotated. ;_; I also wish there wasn't so many rules about where I can plant bushes.

I also kinda wish I could pick where villager plots go but at the same time I think plot resetting and succeeding gives the game a more challenging aspect and makes me feel happy when they finally land in a good spot so it's not the worst thing possible. XD

I wish there was a function that disallowed villagers from moving onto pre-set paths. Because creating a new path to meet a villager's house is easy, but finding a brand new way to lay the path and it being ugly is so annoying! And I second the notion of deciding where villager's houses go, clearly that would be a huge timesaver.

I agree, every day I write a letter to each of my neighbours with 100 bells/their furniture (if they sell it at Re-Tail) enclosed, so everyday I wake up to a full box of letters, and it'd be so much more convenient if I could just click a button and get rid of all of the letters, it takes so long to read, throw them away, and open presents.

The in-game calender existed on the GameCube as a 'journal'/'diary'. You could set your own dates, and town events were already in the journal/diary. I never found much use for it, but it was/is a cool idea.

The mail thing would be nice, but I guess the idea behind it is mostly so you have to read mail from your villagers. Still, for the Timmy & Tommy letters and such, or mail from the bank, it would be nice (or if you could just unsubscribe at least from the bank letters).

Also, for letters, I wish copypasting were a thing. Seeing as I only write to the villagers I want to get out, it would be so much nicer if I didn't have to spend so much time on it, since I like basically writing actual letters.

3) For all of the furniture things to not look like green leaves. It's annoying trying to find that one bear/table/clock & you have to poke them/walk over them to read what they are. Can we have custom labels?!
4) Why can we hold 99,000 bells in a bag? I mean, why don't we have a separate wallet that can hold more than that?
5) PWPs. Ahhhh only certain villagers can request certain ones. bleh.
5a) Why is there a limit? If you can afford it/there is space, then let's build it! How nice it would be to have lit paths!
5b) Why can't we build on the beach? Can I please have a freaking house on the beach?! Or can I at least camp there~
5c) Customize them-->golden fountains & a blue lighthouse, anyone?
6) Rocks & Ponds. WHAT IF YOU COULD DEMOLISH/BUILD THEM?! OvO
7) Interactions. The villagers need more variety of things to say/send in the mail.

you can choose your own face/hairstyle/skin color on a selection screen instead of through dialog in Happy Home Designer!

But regarding no. 11, not sure about flooring and wallpaper, but you CAN change the song. I sent Lucha Stale Cupcakes and he plays it in his house now (forget his original song but trust me it ain't that one). So while I'm not sure on the wall and floor, I do 100% know you can change their music :3

Being able to stop your fave villages from moving would make the game less stressful, and eliminate a lot of tears and heartache. I've never lost a villager, but I see so many threads where people are devastated from losing there fave villagers. I really hope they change this on the next game.

I really want more pattern space. At least 30 spaces. I know I would use them all.

This is a terrific thread!

I have been, for a long time, wanting zoning control. (No need to get into details.)

I also want better storage. Storage in every respect. For example: It would be great to have storage operate like data with regard to the mail received by individual villagers. Files! Files of letters received by a town's Villager A; Villager B; Villager C; Villager D; Villager E; Villager F; Villager G; Villager H; Villager I; Villager J; and … Ex-Villagers (for a fee) would also become an option.

"Animal Crossing: New Leaf" encourages hoarding. A "function" that would be appreciated has to do with relieving the stress of numerous flaws which include concerns over lack of storage options and the crazy placement of villager homes.
