As far as I know, Gracie is the only character to have their gender changed, and she isn't really a villager. All of the actual villagers are the same gender in both the Japanese and NA/EU versions.

Fuchsia is a female character. Uchis are sometimes referred to with "he" pronouns by other villagers. I have heard that this is either a translation error, or a reference to their tomboyish nature.

A person whose gender you do not know, or whose gender is ambiguous, is not an "it", because they are not an object. Your reaction to this is very offensive.
