There are no words to explain. This is NOT my photo, but Fuchsia is in my town. I always thought Fuchsia was a girl, just by looking at him, I never bothered checking it out, I got him from my cousins town, I rather wish I hadn't. (He will never move.) If you are wondering why I'm calling it a "he" It's because I was talking to Willow (the sheep) and she gave me a gift and said that she was re-gifting a gift that Fuchsia had given her. She said that I should thank HIM and then stopped and said, "No wait! Don't thank him." I'm confused, is Fuchsia a boy? If so, he is why I have trust issues. Did my game just glitch or do I have a cross-dressing deer in my town? Please don't go ranting. I remember what I read! They said Fuchsia was a boy! But every site I go to it says it's a lady. I'm so confused. I think Fuchsia is a boy..... I want it out of my town... ;-;
Wait! I found proof!

Fuschia's a girl, they just accidentally refer to some villagers as guys due to error on the translator's part or something.

Fuchsia is female. The bubble around her name is pink. Males are blue bubbles. That's just a translation error

Villagers are the gender that the color of their name is.

But, yeah I still feel angry about that like in japan there isn't much of a gender difference in pronouns sometimes so they just got lazy
they didn't even bother to change 'they' into he or she they're so lazy and it sounds so awkward

Fuchsia is a she. I'm not sure why but villagers refer sometimes to villagers as he/him even if they are female.

It's because in japan certain villagers are boys, but for us they're girls.
Gracie is another example

Why are you acting so shaken? It's not terrifying if a pink deer is actually male.

Also, if you look at the Uchi page on the wiki, it specifically says that there's an error where villagers often refer to Uchis as guys.

lmao i was wondering the same thing??? like why would it have been a big deal holy christ

its very clearly a translation error as literally everyone has said, it happens ALL THE TIME. its annoying, but its nothing to freak out over.

As far as I know, Gracie is the only character to have their gender changed, and she isn't really a villager. All of the actual villagers are the same gender in both the Japanese and NA/EU versions.

This thread is weird...

It would be cool to have a cross dressing deer! I'd take her even if she was a him!

Really? Fuchsia freaks me out.

I'm not acting "Shaken" but I think she's rather scary.

Is it just snooties though who refer to uchis as "him"? I always thought it was just a snooty thing, being a bit *****y about the rougher "big sister" type..
