Frustrations+Regrets about Physical VS Digital

Nope. I will always go with physical, mainly because here in the UK, physical copies are a bit cheaper. I also do not see a benefit to buying digital games on the 3DS, with the lack of account binding. It makes it seem risky and the physical copy just makes me feel safer. But the main reason IS the price. If digital was cheaper over here, I'd certainly be tempted to go digital.

I always used to like physical copies to stack on my shelves, but they can be such a pain. Digital is a lot more convenient. All my games are right where I want/need them. <3

I'm not a big fan of digital retail games. Sure, like others have said, if Nintendo updates their account system so I can have my games even if I lose my system, then okay. I also think the digital copies need to be cheaper than the physical. I don't regret having physical copies. They seem like they're worth more than digital copies.

Because I got the XL bundle I got a digital copy. My reasoning for not getting a physical copy as well wasn't just that I feel it would have been wasteful; I knew I would want this game with me constantly to dip into even while keeping other games around, preferably without carrying multiple cartridges with me, so a digital copy made a lot of sense. I do sort of miss having a physical form of the game in that I like to keep my games on a shelf because I get quite a sentimental attachment to physical copies I spend a lot of time playing but for now I don't feel like I really regret it because heck, I not only got an entire limited edition console dedicated to the game but also the preorder bonus of the little Isabelle and Town Hall figurines, so I still have my keepsakes in a way. Losing my file because I lost my console isn't a very big risk for me either; for one thing I'd be likely to lose the cartridge too if I lost the console (since I keep that stuff together when I take it out) but for another I am just incredibly careful not to create chances to lose things.

I go with physical, mostly because if anything happens to your game system, you won't automatically lose the game entirely.

Since getting the digital version of New Leaf, I can certainly see the convenience of having all your games digitally. But the fact that purchases are still tied to the console makes me too paranoid to 'take the plunge', so to speak, and go fully digital.

That said, I can't really say I have any regrets with my purchases thus far.

I can't get used to digital games. It's quite nostalgic for me to go to a store, hold a physical copy in your hand, etc.
The only pro I can see from it, is that it can't be sold out xD

This. Every 3DS game is the same price on the eShop, and it's nearly always more expensive than buying physical. In fact, NL is ?10 cheaper in HMV than it is to get the digital. Even if you buy the download code in a Game store it's still ?39.99, even if they have the exact same game as a physical copy much cheaper. For example, I bought Super Mario 3D Land a few days ago for ?17.99, eShop download is still ?39.99. It makes absolutely no sense to buy digital over here.

Also, I know it has been said before but I do also like having a shelf full of games.

I picked the digital version because my family runs a farming business and my parents don't always have the time to spend an hour going out and buying me a game, because I go to the mall for my games. The digital version is easier and I can't lose it. I tend to lose my games a lot whenever I take them out.

physical
I love having AC on me at all times along with MK7 or Luigis mansion AC is one of those games you'll always want to play with at a moments notice it's nice knowing you'll never lose your copy or go searching for it.

Back when games an instruction manuals with little back stories about the game (saints row 1) rather than a warning in Spanish about seizures, physical was awesome! Now it's all about the digital! mp3>all steam>console disks

What are you guys talking about? For me, the cartridge never pops out. And I feel like I need a physical copy, so it all works out great. I stay at home most of the time.

I wish I got digital when this happened.
So I was walking at the mall and I was playing Prof. Layton and the Last Specter in my 3DS. I slumped in a comfy seat at the mall. Then I go out to eat until halfway when I noticed I forgot my bag on the seat WHICH HAD NEW LEAF. So I basically ran back and I noticed it was on the table. I searched through the bag and thankfully, New Leaf was in it!
I wish I had digital so I would have no problem with this >_>

I originally bought the digital because I didn't own a 3DS and the bundle was cheaper (and adorable!) But I have since bought a second 3DS and a physical copy. XL 3DS is cute, but not as portable

I'm a collector so physical for me, no question.

Not having New Leaf on my shelf just feels wrong.

I actually really enjoy having the digital version. I like having two games on my system at all times, and I feel like it's convenient digital. My boyfriend got the cartridge copy, so we -technically- have both versions :p
I've never had any issues with my digital copy though. i'm not sure if I'll continue to buy digital copies or not though. I had a pretty unhealthy habit of selling my 3ds to get the newer prettier 3ds'... but now that i have the new leaf special edition XL, I don't think i'll be trading it in any time soon. So i might look into more digital copies for things (:
Also i've never had any troubles with a physical cartridge popping out of my 3ds... have you considered buying a case for it?
I use this one: http://www.cduniverse.com/productinfo.asp?pid=8947643
and it works pretty well. Comes with a few game slots and some cute extra styluses ;D
(There's also a mario and yoshi version if you're not a fan of peach)
i also used http://www.cduniverse.com/productinfo.asp?pid=8946340 which i gave to my boyfriend after i got the peach case, which works really nicely, but it was a little too big for my purse/me.

I enjoy both physical and digital games. All my digital games are on the XL, while the physical games are on my Aqua Blue 3DS.

Having both versions of New Leaf is useful if you want something that is in another town.

I feel more comfortable with a physical copy.

If I had the digital, I'd always be scared that something would get corrupted or deleted, even if there are no "issues" with it.
