Does anyone regret going with the physical copy instead of digital? Or the other way around?

I went with the physical, I'm oldschool like that. So in the game I am trying to get my development permit. I am running around doing errands for villagers to make my % go higher. Yesterday I had a date with Benjamin at his place, I made it there on time and did a TON of other things, Fishing, donating, fossils etc.

It was time for me to leave work and I closed the DS for sleep mode while leaving the game on. I was in such a rush to get out that I didn't save the game. I just closed it and threw it in my purse. At the bus station I pull it out to play and somehow THE CARTRIDGE POPPED OUT!!!! Therefore deleting all my progress and having Resetti yell at me for not saving AND Benjamin telling me he was waiting forever for me!

Had I gone with digital, this wouldn't be a problem. It's not even like I take NL out!

Do you regret anything? Or want to share a horribly frustrating story?? I'm thinking about taping the cartridge in there.

On a side note: I didn't think I would get ANY streetpass. In two days I have 8! :D Two of which are playing AC! How cool :D

On the plus side, you've unlocked the Resetti Center as a Project. =p

I went digital and I've not had any problems at all.

I've gone with physical but I hope I don't have any issues with it! I tend to close my da alot but I've never had the cartridge pop out. I regret where I live though! I live near loads of old people so I barely get street passes |:-(

Personally I feel like I would regret going with digital because when I get games digitally, I don't feel like they're actually mine, but when I have a physical copy I feel like I can keep it forever. Plus I like having a shelf full of games that I can admire. I'm kinda weird like that.

The way I get them is by taking transit. The train I take to work is the same train all the college and university students take so I am almost 100% sure that's how I'm getting them.

Prof: Way to make my glass half full ;) lol

So were I to take my 3DS out, it's dead around me, so I doubt I would even get any.

Once Nintendo implements an account system and actually puts 3DS full titles on sale more often I'd feel comfortable purchasing titles like New Leaf from them.

I'm a physical person and I've had the cart pop out on me as well, so I try to keep it in places where I know nothing will apply pressure to the cartridge.

I went with the download because I didn't want to wait, and I regret it slightly because my DS has lag issues with going to my friends list while the game is started up. This can be quite annoying when I'm trying to coordinate meetings with people on here.

no regrets with digital. I love it. I was able to get the game immediately and I can easily switch between my cartridge games and ACNL whenever I want. I have it everywhere I go no matter what!

I do have a really stupid forgetting-to-save story though. I had done all of my daily stuff such as watering, finding all fossils and checking shops and buying things, and I put it on sleep mode. I opened my 3DS back up and I didn't know that I didn't save, so I switched from ACNL to swapnote. I opened New Leaf back up and sure enough, Resetti was there and I realized that I forgot to save it. I really wish there was a save button on the bottom screen or something so it would be easier to remember to save instead of pressing the start button.

Agreed; their user digital library policies are so archaic. ;/

@ Bambi, ooo unfortunate, wished that didn't happen! :-[

New Leaf would have been my 1st title for my 3DS & digital too- but I lined up @ Nintendo World for an early release. Don't regret your decision; silly things happen to careful people- no matter how unlikely the cart would spring free, now you've GOT to save before taking the 3DS w/ you.

Well considering I have the JP bundle I have digital... Nothing wrong with it

The only problem I had with the game was that I had closed my 3DS, mid game, and when I opened it back up it was just a black screen. It showed that the 3DS was still on, but I couldn't do anything about it except for reset it. Note that I had the digital version, but I don't know. It could happen to anyone! That's why I always save and continue every time I decide to close my 3DS!

I always save and continue. You never know what might happen whether its physical or digital!

In my eyes...in a way, getting digital is like having physical. I mean, it's saved to the SD card, it just doesn't have the fancy New Leaf logo on it.

Same, well I have the American bundle, but yeah. I'd have liked a physical copy, but no problems with having a digital copy built in!

I bought the bundle and a physical copy. I've only played the physical one so far as I counldn't be bothered downloading NL again after system transferring. I think I'll download it this weekend and have 2 towns from now on!
