Freestyle seasports challenge?

The other day CJ gave me a freestyle challenge where I just catch 5 fish in a row, and I'm just so used to the 3 big or 3 small challenges that I was confused. I googled a bit and one source said freestyle is the first challenge he gives you, but I don't remember it. And I didn't see anything about him repeating it. Anyone else get this challenge too, after the first I mean? How common is it?

Yeah, he's given me that challenge multiple times. It's fairly common, I'd say. I think it's weighted so that you get the big fish/small fish challenges more often, but the freestyle one will still be given to you every so often.

I've gotten the freestyle challenge multiple times as well. It seems to just come up randomly. I sort of forgot it was the first one CJ gives us.

It gets annoying everytime you wanna sell fish to CJ you have to do the challenge if you don't he refuses to even buy your fish. At least Flick buys your bugs instead of letting you do any sort of challenge.
