The way their hair sticks out really makes them look like they're wearing hoods. I'd rather just think of them as super weird hybrids. They are creepy either way, but cute at the same time.

Rabbits, although the lack of pants could just be tights, they have the tail and nose of rabbits.

It's really likely that they're just white furred bunnies with a bit of blonde dyed fur to imitate blonde hair. Their polka dotted ears are likely just hoods covering their white ears. after all, they do have stylish personalities as they do have dream jobs to be a designer and model respectively. Examples like Monique, Tiffany, Diana and Felicity show that it's not uncommon for animals to dye their hair and wear makeup for the sake of being stylish.
