Found a villager closet/clothes bug

Ive noticed a weird bug recently with villagers' closets and clothes they keep inside. I've given clothes to Chrissy but the clothes i gave her show up in Stitch's closet. I've also given Merengue clothes and her clothes show up in Chrissy''s closet, etc. Not sure why this is happening. Does anyone have any idea?

No, but does it matter? It's just their closets getting mixed up, they still wear their own clothes.

It helps to know what is still in each villager's closets if you want to cycle out certain things. Minor as it is, yes, I think it matters.

Have heard people say complaining to isabelle clears it.
However I highly doubt it'll clear anything other than custom designs, but you could try it.

Thanks but yea i've tried complaining to Isabelle multiple times and they change to their default clothes right away but always revert back to their other ugly clothes people have given them

You just have to keep giving them other clothes unfortunately. ):
