Fossil Markings

And just to be super sure, bury unassesed fossils. I know you know that, but I don't want to leave out information. 🤓

Honestly, any advice at this point I will take!
I was going to suggest the same, but 4 fossils instead of 6. I haven't tried this in NH, but in NL, if you couldn't find a fossil on Monday, on Tuesday you'd only spawn 3 new fossils, because the game spawned buried fossils until there were 4 in the ground. (You could also stop your daily pitfall seed from spawning by just not digging it up ever, I would put it in a far corner so I wouldn't accidentally fall into it.)

Thanks for the tips. It makes total sense.

You need six in this game because when I TT, I get a total of six fossils.

@Ras I buried 4. Will be on the lookout tomorrow to see if anymore sprout and bury those too somewhere on my island where they are out of sight.

Interesting, I've never had more than four fossils, but I also dig all of mine up every day and haven't time traveled yet.

The fossils can be quite annoying, especially because I have so many flowers on the ground I can barely see them, and they also like to spawn on the edges of my cliffs that are very narrow lol. I also completed my fossil exhibit so at this point i have just been leaving them there 🤡

Oh you’re so close! It’s the best feeling once you complete it. The only downside is then you have to deal with fossils you don’t want anymore lol. Best of luck! And if you have one in particular you need, let me know. Happy to help out.
You can just Bury them behind a cliff and never worry about new spawns ever again! The only thing is that if you want to complete that nook mile where you assess 300 fossils or something, you'll have to keep digging them up. But if you're not concerned about that, just hide them somewhere that's out of sight out of mind :)
