if they ever let us put furniture in bodies of water I'd fill up my ponds with those wooden DIY ducks but I doubt they would add that to the game cause putting stuff in the river wouldn't work since 1) the water is moving and 2) it would get in the way of fishing

I'd like to use mum cushions as water lilies rather than having them on a tile in the river like I have now.

Better yet, it would be cool if they added water lilies.

I think I remember seeing water lilies in GC AC. I’d love for those to return (as well as those wide thicket-like bushes)!

Based on how it looks, it can't be on the first level--that's nearly impossible because of the way the hole is formed. I'm not sure whether it's a fourth tier (making it the first tier, which means the current 3rd tier will be moved up to 4th tier), or if it's an item that can be put in the water. However, there doesn't look to be water anywhere? I'm so confused. LOL

w are for water, _ empty spaces, and p is for the pumpkin item. so it's def possible!

i am wondering tho if maybe its not water and actually they're incorporating some type of digging feature??

Yeah! I'm starting to wonder if it's a digging feature too. Someone I was talking to in this thread mentioned how easy it would be for people's cemeteries to look more legit with this addition. *-*

This is exactly what I was thinking, just one of the taller pumpkin items like the stack of pumpkins or scarecrow in front of a tiny pond. I'd be very surprised if it's anything else!

It's most definitely water. You can hear it and even see a bit of the stream flowing in the very corner. The pumpkin item does seem to match exactly to the pumpkin scarecrow being sold in Nook's, so it is just a tall item in front of a small pond.

Would be incredibly surprising, but not unwanted, if they make the 4th tier accessible. I am doubtful it'll happen in this update though.

If you look at the bottom left there's a pumpkin which looks to b a layer below the characters. So that would put them on layer two making the last layer number four with fences, trees, and decorations. Your thoughts? I really hope this is true. Always wanted to decorate up there, but didn't want to glitch to do it.
