Forgot to bury a time capsule

Sprinkle gave me one and i forgot to bury it and TTed to the next day when trying to move Papi out and now i'm stuck with it. Any advice on how to get her to ask for it back? I opened it too thinking it would make her ask for it back sooner. D: i gotta start denying those PWP's i always forget to bury them even when i'm not time traveling.

I don't think she'll ask for it back, just delete the time capsule from your letters to get rid of it. I once had a villager move away who I buried a time capsule for and she sent me a letter telling me I could just dig it up and have it.

Since she is currently in town, i'm not sure if i can. I know if they move away you can delete it since they never asked for it back and you can't return it to them. I feel bad for forgetting

I think you can delete it since it's been opened!

I remember one time I had opened a time capsule, and the villager got angry with me, for doing so.
I agree with what's already been said, though...I think you should be able to delete it...

Okay since a few of you have said you can delete it, i will save and try to do so. If i can't though i'm just going to reset and keep her present inside so at least she's not upset about that going missing

There is no option to bury the next day (i'm assuming it's because requests expire after a day?) There is only the open option and cancel

If she mentions it at all I think she'll tell you to just forget about it, similar to when you miss the deadline for other errands.

I don't think she would ask for it back. It sucks you can't bury it the day after but like if a villager asked you to deliver a present to someone and you didn't I don't think they'd mention it again.
