Forever and ever and ever?

At least when the next installment of AC comes out on the Wii U, we can expect some pretty amazing graphics! Aside from what the U did wrong, I have to say a lot of nintendo games coming out on it are lookin' pretty good.

We can finally have that crystal clear sharpness that is shown in pictures of AC xD

That's true. Graphics will be amazing. But graphics aren't such a huge deal to me as is the entertainment level of the game.

I'm gonna play until I get bored. I probably won't be able to play it as much during the school year because I'll have so much going on, but I'm gonna try to at least get on at night to water my flowers and talk to whatever villagers may be up. Also, as long as the community isn't dead, that'll help to keep me interested.

honestly im not THAT attached to new leaf but I like it a lot
i don't think i will keep playing that much after I finish getting PWP

I really need to get that nature ordinance thing for when I start school. I don't want to be watering flowers daily when I have homework and stuff to worry about.

When it comes to PWP you are limited to 30 though. So how would you make that work if you can always demolish and build different ones that are suggested?

This song pretty much sums up me and this game

Haha, but seriously, I think this game will stick with me for a while. Of course there's a day I will eventually be bored with it, but it's not going to be any time soon. I plan on doing more wi-fi things since I joined the forums, so that will extend the play time for me.

I think New Leaf being on a handheld really helps its addiction factor, for me at least. It's portable so I can do the little miscellaneous things while I'm out, instead have needing to be shackled to a TV and a console.

I'll probably be playing with it for a few years like how I did with AC:WW :) There's so much things to do for me and I love my villagers a lot and become attached to them so not chatting with all of them for at least a day will really get on my nerves for some reason.

I'll definitely still be playing ACNL when I'm 45, cos that's actually less than 2 years away... How did that happen? Anyhow, I remember waaaaayyyy back in the day when nobody had a home computer, the internet as we know it (and communities like this) didn't exist, handheld games were limited to a hunk of red plastic called "Merlin" (Google it - it was wonderful for the time and I was totally addicted to mine) Amstrad brought out the ZX Spectrum which had a game called "Fox and Rabbits" (or something like that). I played that game for hours, starting out with x number of foxes and y number of rabbits and seeing how the populations changed over time. Fast forward 30 years or so and here I am, 400 hours into a game I've had for less than 2 months, watching how "my" village changes over time...

I'd love to pass this on to my daughter (who is nearly 4, so a bit young yet), but I can't see that happening given how fast the games industry moves. By the time she's old enough to really enjoy it it'll seem as "old" to her as that Foxes and Rabbits game would have been to the average GameBoy user back in 1990. There were about 8 years between the Spectrum and the Game Boy - what's going to happen in the next 8 years? Mind you, she has my old DS Lite and really enjoys Cooking Mama, so who knows?

As for me, I'll probably slow down once Pokemon X & Y come out but I can't see me leaving Paradise for a good few years.

I'm as into Animal Crossing: New Leaf as much as I've ever been into any game before. However, come next Monday, we'll be only two months away from the new main series Pokemon title. As addictive as I'm finding AC:NL, Pokemon is like crack to me. As much as I'd like to think I'll still be best buds with my favorite villagers, once there are new Pokemon to catch and train--I just won't have time to schedule appointments so Phil can come look at my mansion and insist on seeing every room. I mean, get your own damned ocean fish; you walk around with a fishing pole all day. Is it just for show?

Hey! we're around the same age. Nice meeting a peer who loves both Animal Crossing and Pokemon! I don't think we're as common as I think we should be!

Until I get a new game, but I'll still play it from time to time. I never played New Leaf THAT much to start with, anyways.

I'm really worried about getting bored with NL, I hope it doesn't happen... I imagine it will be somewhat inevitable though, with new games coming out...
