For all you Blue-Rose breeders, how long did it take you to get your first one?

I looked at my camera roll and I started systematically breeding blue roses on May 5th and got my first blue roses on May 30th! I got four at a time on that day too, was extremely lucky. So it took me about 25 days?

I dedicated the entire left side of my island to breed flowers. I had five visitors each day to water my flowers so my breeding rate had always been the highest. I had two different methods going on at the same time, trying to increase the odds of maybe one of them will breed a blue rose in one of the earlier stages. In the end, they both bred their first two blue roses on the same day lol.

Tips I would give to people who wants to breed blue roses on their own: don't try to shortcut your breeding time; pick one or two methods and stick with them; give your flowers enough land and control your samples; have visitors come water your flowers, one is better than none.

Thank you for advice! Trying to give my flowers ample amounts of space so they don't mesh into each other when breeding.

Huhbaahh. It took a while. I don’t remember how long but I did months of TTing. Problem was one of the early videos I watched didn’t specify the testing portion of some offspring and I wasted loads of time and started over. Then it was easy ish but tedious. Black cosmos gave me a harder time after lol and were the last hybrid I needed to have fully bred all hybrids on my own.

If anyone wants a starter blue rose feel free to PM me, but I know there is some satisfaction in breeding them yourself.
