Let's have some fun yet actual discussion.
Might start doing this every week if this goes well enough.

I'm currently in class atm not paying attention so I cant watch that video

BUT LEMME JUST SAY, other life exists, somewhere out in our universe. In my opinion, its close minded to believe that Earth is the only planet with life, out of the BILLIONS (maybe trillions) of planets out there

I think there are other planets that may have life but not intelligent life (like humans, if you can even call us intelligent lol). We unfortunately will never know the size of space in general in our lifetimes unless some random amazing piece of technology happens, otherwise we just have to wait for the light from further distances away to reach us. If space did end, then how? What goes on further?

I think it would be utterly ridiculous to say aliens don't exist. You can't convince me that nowhere in the entire, unexplored regions of the universe that we're the only creatures in existence.

Unfortunately, I can't watch the video at the moment considering I'm at my cousin's house, she's asleep..and I don't have headphones or earbuds ^_^;..but I'm actually pretty interested in aliens. I'm not sure if there have actually been "captures" of other life forms outside of earth, but I do know there are things like unknown radio signals and everything. I can't really say much considering I'm not an expert when it comes to these things, but there's so much of space that we haven't or possibly couldn't even explore, so there are chances of other life forms out there

Whether something exists outside Earth, I dont know btu I think that when people say "that cant exist because there is no water up there" or something, is ridiculous. Who says that just because we need water to survive, 'aliens' do too ; v ;

I do myself believe in the possibility that there are other life forms out there, whether they resemble human life or not is a whole other question. I mean within the possibilty of human reach (at least for now) our earth is pretty much one of a kind. We're human, we're kinda trained to think that we are the at the top and the best there is, so when you say life, the average person expects something lumpy looking with 4 limbs.

But at the same time, I don't think it's light minded to say that there aren't. Just because there's billions of miles of space out there and that humans and animals and every other life form on earth, isn't 100% reason for there to be something out there.

But what I really wonder is, what if there is another earth like planet out there, and there are aliens on it, that resemble humans 100%, that's be pretty wickedly awesome.

I clicked the thread because it had food in the title... -_-

Do I think aliens exist? Somewhere out there. But I mean I've never met one so I can't tell you. I do know that there's a show called Ancient Aliens, and those people belive that aliens created basically everything in past human history. But then it got me thinking, what if all of earth's life was was never native to earth, and just ended up here on a crashed comet or something? I'd have to come from somewhere else, right?

I have always been into thinking about stuff like this. I personally believe it's silly to think we're the *only* intelligent life form in the ENTIRE universe. But I also don't think we'll make contact with other intelligent life forms in my lifetime or in any subsequent lifetimes. I recently watched a documentary that said a galaxy like ours is actually relatively rare; I don't think this means intelligent life is any less abundant in such a vast universe, but I think our chances of encountering each other are fairly low.

I'll stick to my sci-fi novels and movies and shows though and keep hoping for something cool to happen

Sure, you say that now because I didn't make the thread this time. Irony

To be fair, the way you word some of your threads using unsubstantiated claims and stating them as genuine facts is pretty much asking people to just come in and argue you're wrong rather than have the discussion you hoped for. Wording can be the difference between a fun discussion and people attacking your beliefs.

Though people do seem to just do it now because it's you, even if there's nothing actually wrong with the thread.

Note: That isn't irony.
