Fondant Julian

Hey all! So it was my birthday a few days ago and I was going to make myself an Animal Corssing themed cake! Sadly this did not happen because golly gee birthdays are tiring as all heck! I made myself a fondant Julian to stick on the top, though he sadly broke into bits D: Anyway, enough jibbering, lookit how cute and fat he was! Also sorry for potato quality photos, my phone is crap.

Omg this is so f-in cute. I wish I could do stuff like that with clays and stuff. I had bought some really nice clay and never really used it, because I was so bad ;-;

Thank you so much! I made it with fondant and sugarflair's food colouring pastes. I also added some sugarflair silver lustre to his horn, mane and tail and sugarflair's petal dust in Blossom pink for his eyeshadow and cheeks~ :3
I don't really know how to break down the making of him without making this post super long XD Honestly, its quite easy if you break everything down into shapes (sausages for the arms and legs, cylinder for the body and head, etc). Just make sure you stick cocktail sticks in it for support else it'd just fall to bits O-O As for the mane and tail I made sausage shapes and made them thin at both ends and glued them on individually with edible glue (tylose powder and water). There's SO MANY picture and video tutorials for fondant figures online, just need to use the general skills from them and make it up as you go along XD

Aww, that sucks OnO You should totally try it again some day! Its hard to begin with but it just takes practice. You just need to break everything down into simple shapes and put it all together :3 Like a rounded cylinder for his body, sausages for his arms and legs, etc~ I just watch a ton of tutorials and use the techniques shown in those for different figures.​
