Is it me or flowers are like the most difficult item to place in the game ? 🤣

I just move all my flowers o the beach and I am slowly placing them but honestly there are many flower colors which i dont even want cause they dont mash with the aesthetics off my town and because i just dont like them at all, as it happens with the radioactive pick cosmos 😂.

I was just wandering what you all do with all the flower types? do you just place the ones that fit in your town and you are getting rid of others or do you at least try to have one of everything around. Honestly I even loath the golden flowers 🤦‍♀️ i find them super un-appealing.

I want to get rid of like 60% of species and colors of flowers i have, but at the same time .... you need them for so many DIYS ... such a hard choice :coffee:

I try to keep a few of every colour around and have a few flower patches for this. But if we will get more crops to grow I am not sure I’ll have enough space to keep them. I would love to have some sort of greenhouse where we could grow and store flowers!

thats actually a wonderful idea 💡!

You know, i dont know if you played ACNL, but in that game in the shop area there was a building ( shoe shop i think 💭 ) with a stairs out site so you could directly up to the next shop ( hairdresser i think 💭 ) , i think it would look amazing to have an indoor greenhouse up in Nooks store with all our flowers with the addition ( wishfully thinking ) that flowers would become seasonal crops too and you could take them out to decorate your town if you so desired 💛

In the beginning, when I was testing which flowers I liked; they were or at least I tried square them off in fences to keep them from exploding like what I've seen from other islands.
Then after I found the colors I liked, I shoved them in the back but during the winter months, it snows a lot and therefore they would breed like mad. So I had to put them on my beaches or small strips of land to curb them from spreading.

The flower crowns aren't big wants for me but I carry about 5 stacks of each I've grown in my storage just in case.

I have a different flower in each separate section of my island. For example, tulips in the west, mums in the centre, cosmos in the south, hyacinths in the north etc. I also have flower gardens for each villager, plus some hedged flower beds.

I think I have some of all flowers around. I try to keep at minimum six of each, just in case I need them or want to breed more of a certain species or color. But my town doesn't really have an aesthetic, so the colors and species of my flowers aren't really a concern...

i currently keep at least one of each hybrid just so i don't have to go through the hassle of breeding it again in the event i need it for crafting. for some of the rarer ones, i keep an additional pair on the beach -- an idea i think i'm going to scrap because i'm never going to trade them. once i finally get a blue rose and green mum, i'm going to make my biggest flowerbed a rainbow so i'll still have one of almost every hybrid anyway.

my island doesn't exactly have a theme, it's just "natural" so i have single flowers everywhere, roughly 3-4 spaces from each other. in the future i might use specific color combinations in different sections of town but that won't happen until i finish terraforming/designing, and that itself is on hold until i know what the hell nintendo is doing re: brewster and farming.

Different areas of my island have different coloured flowers. For instance, I have only blue hyacinths along my river banks. Around the plaza, I have blue and purple flowers. Near the bamboo forest, white, yellow and green flowers. Close to the waterfall and river behind my house, white and pink flowers. Orange flowers in my mushroom forest. And so on. You could say my town is colour coded in flowers.

When extra flowers pop up, I clear them out and sell them.

I don't have all the flowers available in the game. I don't need all of them. My favourite flowers are the windflowers and hyacinths, so those are in great abundance.

I always found flowers fairly easy to work with because I try to match whatever looks nice with my villager’s houses or the decorations in that area. If I worked the opposite way and had a colour theme in mind for my island, I would try and find villagers with exteriors that would compliment the flowers. The hardest part for me is trying to use all types of flowers, because there’s only a few flower models I like but I try to include at least one of every species or colour somewhere (or my island won’t feel complete haha). I also really dislike the golden rose and I’m also not fond of the white and yellow flowers. I was able to incorporate the white and yellow into certain areas but for now my gold roses are hidden behind some cliffs, haha.

I'm currently in the process of putting flowers back, ideally in random places since I like a more natural look. They had all been replanted on the beaches because it kept raining and they were growing out of control. Unfortunately I still have to deal with the unsightly mess towards the back of my island, which was where I put the rest of my flowers because the beaches were completely filled.

My flowers tend to grow wild (as they should) but I try to prune and spread my flowers around. Also, I try my best to have only blue, purple, black and green flowers in my forest (not counting the buds that I’m using as sea grass).

I felt the same way, so I decided to just get rid of all red, yellow, and orange flower and stick to my faves (white, blue, pink, black, purple). My flowers are randomly placed around and I blue/purple/black and purple/pink/white go well together, so I always place them like that. Blue and white clash a lot so I've avoided that, but otherwise it all looks nice together

I wish I would not have read this. Now I want it so bad. Great idea.
