I was about to post something like this!
I have pansies, hyacinths, tulips and cosmos, which are my native flowers. On the first couple of days after the upgrade I got some windflowers but after that they were never available again!
My shop only ever has Roses, Pansies, and Windflowers.
The base version of the shop has 2 of the three colors available which it chooses randomly each day, while the upgraded shop has all three base colors.
I’ve had tulips, windflowers, cosmos, pansies and early on yellow hyacinths. Another thread suggests that these are set for each player but rotate around as seasons change which would explain why I only got yellow hyacinths in the first few days of the game being out.
I think you only have 3 flower types permanently. I’ve never gotten any others and I’ve time traveled through all seasons. I wish they were all available
The seeds sold in the shop is seasonal, you’ll either have to wait till Summer, Autumn and Winter to arrive before you get them all, or you can trade with others online.
Your flower seeds will rotate with season, but you will always have your native flower and sister flower (the other one you find on islands) available.
I tt'ed and was able to get all flower seeds just by changing season.
I think the folks saying it's seasonal may be right... I thought it was limited to 3 types per town, but I found Roses and Lilies when I hit Summer.
Also, on a completely unrelated note, during Summer, I think Nook's Cranny sells an extra item, to the left of the door? This item's color is exclusive, I know this for a fact.
just for anyone still wondering i time travelled and have now got all of the seeds and yes, there is an extra item in nook's cranny in summer and in winter!
They rotate with seasons? You know I actually like that! It encourages trading without screwing up people without online and at the same time makes each season more unique. I might reconsider some of my criticism towards the game :0 So is the only thing that is online-only as of rn the nook miles rewards color variations?
