Since I didn’t win a special snowflake as the Christmas lights are temporary, I would like to get a glow wand collectible. I’ll take a flower wand collectible in exchange for the two 2018 green feathers and the 2018 red feather I have placed in my inventory for 2,000 to 3,000 TBT.

It may be difficult to get a glow wand with the three feathers I am willing to trade, but I can do it.

And the reason why I would ask for the glow wand is because of its starry background, which will add diversity to my sidebar.

If a Magikarp can wipe out a team of legendary Pok?mon, I can sure get the tropical glow wand collectible by trading in three feathers.

First bump of the year.

My best bet is to get the flower wand. But I do like its tropical looks.

I changed it to a buying thread, asking for a flower wand. If anyone can sell me one, I’ll be done with my assorted collectibles collection. I’m not buying it because it’s easier. I’m buying it to have a tropical addition to my sidebar.

And don’t worry about me having less than 10k TBT. I can have that when the community rebounds.

bold of you to assume the market will rebound

Honestly, I think his assumption is realistic. AC Switch is going to bring a ton of new people in and also bring veteran members back so the market definitely can rebound due to a increase in overall demand! ;)

But I’m not going to sell what I stored right away. I shall wait until AC Switch is out for at least one month.

Whatever floats your boat, I am personally going to flow with the market until then and afterwards! I am curious to see how the release of the new game is going to affect everything overall on the TBT Market. :)

EDIT: Don't want to derail your thread, would rather continue this conversation in the Restock/Discussion thread! ;)

It doesn’t matter, cause once I get it, we shall celebrate the completion of my “assorted collectibles” collection. And I’ll blog about it, explaining what the assorted collectibles mean.

I feel like the veteran members are gonna be what makes or breaks it, given how unfriendly the marketplace is to newcomers at this point without an in-demand skillset such as avi/sig creation imo (mainly due to various systems meant to help people with collecting tbt getting killed off thanks to abuse by other members)

I am not sure what you mean by unfriendly, I feel like the market is very open still to anyone who is willing to make a effort! ;) If you are referring to how expensive collectibles are, they have always been worth more than in-game AC items due to them being in a more controlled market compared to the in-game one which can get destroyed easily by hacking and overall mass inflation by so many players producing items just by playing the game. When it comes to the abuse of members, what are you referring to specifically? If you are talking about in-game, I can see hacking and duping, but other than that, I don't know what you mean by that.

not unfriendly as in users being hostile to one another, but unfriendly as in less reliable options for users to gather up tbt to work towards buying stuff they want at a solid pace (and I say this as someone that thinks the older inflated market prices were absolutely hideous). which even before, was always a major issue tbt had, but the dwindling options to obtaining tbt have just exacerbated this problem, I feel

and I'm purely talking abuse of tbt's own systems, not any in-game abuse such as hacking or whatnot

Ah, that makes sense. I can see why you thought the pricing was hideous back then, but there were many factors behind why it was that way along with simple supply & demand principles. Getting a lot of TBT can be a challenge, but I find the best way of getting a good amount of TBT is to simply find what works for you and what you enjoy doing on here. :) For me, I enjoy selling collectibles and just posting in general. :) I don't really sell in-game stuff anymore just because it doesn't work well with my busy schedule, but if it works for someone else, more power to them because you can make bank selling in-game items if you know what you are doing.

It?s a good thing that the rules do not allow the trading of duped or hacked Animal Crossing items. It keeps them more valuable. But LambdaDelta is right about hostility towards newer members. The high prices on collectibles and the low amount of TBT you get from posting makes it seem difficult to get these collectibles. Older members may have the advantage, but newcomers would have a hard time getting them. I remember that I wanted a chocolate cake collectible from the beginning of my membership, and I couldn?t get it because the price was absurdly high for me. And now that Welcome Bells are gone thanks to all of those who created alternative accounts to earn TBT, getting high-priced collectibles will be even more painful to them. Fortunately, earning TBT by selling AC items won?t be hard within the early months of the new Animal Crossing game, but when the supply goes high, it?s gonna get much harder to earn TBT from selling in-game items.

But time to get back on topic. I decided that 3,000 TBT is the price I?ll use on the flower glow wand. The message is, ?Welcome to the tropics!?
