Floods in Pakistan

So me and *trevor were talking about this yesterday, and how awful it is that Pakistan has been getting very little aid, and what might be the reason they're not getting much help.

It's been a month since they were hit, crops, houses, everything being destroyed. The impact is worse than the Haiti earthquake. They've recieved probably only around 40% of aid just to get started.

It's weird how everyone jumped on the boat right away for relief after the earthquake. But for Pakistan it's been a month. Is it because no celebrities have come out and said donate? Is it because of the country's rep.? I don't think those should matter when you're dealing with millions of innocent people.

What are your thoughts?

I thought there were only sand in Pakistan. I know it's not funny I'm not trying to be funny either.

Yeah, It has been a long time. I've always been seeing it in the news and It's pretty sad, They're suffering and no one's helping, I even doubt that the news reporters who report in Pakistan are even helping.

In Haiti, People made a big deal, They even made a song to help raise money, But in Pakistan they've not. I think that Pakistan should be getting more aids than Haiti did (or does now) since they're a bigger country.
I guess we've become more selfish.

I haven't heard anything about it.

Admittedly I never catch up on the news.

What if something bigger hits the states tommorrow? Are people not going to help the country just because it's not televised as poor?
Anything can happen at a moment's notice. We all live on Earth together. So we should help each other in time of need.

I know. I'm not trying to justify why it's right. I'm just trying to list the reasons why I think America's not helping.
