Fishing Tourney!

I didn't see a topic about the fishing tourney, so I decided to make one.

I was doing well for a while. I had 6 of the 12 items and was going to hand in a pocketful of sea bass (like 20-ish??) and hopefully get the other 6, but then I accidentally gave Chip my largest one! I haven't been able to catch anything bigger, so I guess I'll have to wait until the next tourney to finish the set.

Btw, the items I got were the squid chair, sea-anemone bed, marine pop wall, dab table, crab clock, and two football-fish lamps. What did everyone else get?

I get soo annoyed with the fishing tourney. I just buy his items from people on here.

I don't fish for items. I'm just in this for the trophy. I turned in an oarfish that was 236.50", and got the pufferfish TV. Before that I got some neutral flooring.

When any of the tourney's come around I catch a locker full of fish and I have a notepad with sizes largest to smallest and what species. Then I will take loads over to whoever is running it and collect the rewards c:

The only fishing item I have received so far is the flounder table. The other 3 items have been regular old catalog items ;w; but I am in first place with a carp, so I am hoping to get a few more of the tourney pieces before the day is up! I don't have access to the island yet, so I'm limited in what I can catch.

I don't ever do the fishing tourney anymore. I don't really like the furniture set and I got all the different trophies. Chip basically comes around now to ruin my placement of goodies around the town tree. Omg now that I think about it Nat's gonna do the same thing... At least his set has some cute stuff.

I used to catch the fish and record the size on my iPad or post it and then organize them that way to make sure I didn't mistakenly give him the wrong one. It's not that hard to get his furniture thankful, and if I do mess up I just reset.

Also you got almost all the pieces for this tourney btw, well except the coral bed (also strange you got the wall instead of the floor but ehh?). Each fishing and bug catching tourney, you can only get half of the set. The next tourney you can get the rest. After you get those first set, the rest will be duplicates of the items you listed.

I think I've secured the gold trophy and I've gathered the following:

*flounder table
*jellyfish light
*octopus chair
*puffer-fish tv
*red-snapper chair

5/12 is ok for my first tourney I guess! :>

Lol i actually never participated in a Fish Tourney in Animal Crossing xD I did not even know that it existed until two months ago. I participated in two bug tournaments though, once in Animal Crossing Let's Go To The City and once in Animal Crossing: New Leaf.

To get the last item try using another player and get them to beat your score.
It's 6 items for this tournament so you miss one.

I only have three items from the tourney; the bed, the floor, and the squid chair. I think the set looks pretty cool and I'd like it, but I have very little patience for fishing. Today I turned in a sea bass and then right away caught an oarfish so I quit. I think I got the bed ages ago in a different tourney. My boyfriend is really competitive so he usually gets the gold. The only time I get the gold is when he's too busy to play on a Saturday. Actually, last tourney I lost to Pashmina. Oops.

Youll only be able to get the next 6 items of the set so you'll be missing the last piece from this round. However, as stitchmaker said, if you have a second character or even just beat your mayor's own score you would still have a chance to get that last piece as long as the tourney today is not over yet. Just reset when Chip doesn't give you the piece you want.

I haven't tried to get the fishing tourney set. I was more of a collector of the trophies. lol

I'm really annoyed with the Fishing Tourney: I already got all the furniture in the series from past tourneys, so right now I'm trying my best *NOT* to get 1st place so I can get the silver and bronze trophies for cataloging purposes. Well, I got gold again this time -_-. Gotta try again next month I guess...
