fishing tourney improvement for the future

So yesterday was the fishing tourney and I was once again annoyed by the fact that you can only see the size of your fish when you catch it. Wouldn't it be great if you could see that info when you show it off? This makes keeping track of the order you give your fish to Chip kind of a royal pain. I hope Nintendo will improve this in the next AC game. I hope you are watching these forum posts Nintendo!

Yeah, it's not great that the size isn't obvious. Each time I get a new fish I arrange them in size from left to right.

While this is fine but games shouldn't require outside help any more. Something like fish and bug sizes, especially because the game has contests centered around that mechanic, should be available to see on demand in game. I think when showing it off the size should pop up again.

Yeah, well I don't even bother. I gave chip a sea bass at 12 o clock, I was first. Didn't enter another fish at all, and saved and quit. Went on at 7pm to see the results, I thought someone must of overtook me but low and behold I won. They should make it a little harder.

But I do agree, when showing off fish it should say the size. Especially if your playing with friends and your doing a contest.

Ideally, that would be the way to go. The reality is what we deal with and ACNL will not be changed again, especially to please us. Maybe the next AC, on Switch, will address our desires but don't hold your breath.

Almost the same here. I go from bottom right and note the sizes so they can be submitted from smallest to largest. These days, if I already have a gold in the main room for fish and bug, I no longer bother to waste the time. At first, I entered every tourney and ended up with a bunch of identical trophies that just took up space. Now, if I have one of each, that's it.

it'd be nice if when you tapped a fish/bug you could tap 'examine' or something and measure it, see how good of a fish/bug it is etc

While winning the trophy is great, for me the important part of having to arrange my catches by size is to try and win some of that fish furniture. Its easier to win the contest than it is to get that furniture lol.

Yeah, I missed out on the wallpaper yesterday. I got a big fish pretty early so I only got about five or six items. I think next time I'll start early and make sure I begin with a few tiddlers.

Wow 5 or 6 items! That is great Garrett! I only got one fish item and lots of other regular items.
