Has anybody actually caught the stupid mahi-mahi off the pier?! I’ve been trying to catch the 2 new fish this month and haven’t seen a thing!

Yep! It's out there. I caught it last year, but I do think I got kinda lucky (getting both the new pier fish with a few stacks of bait).

If it helps, the thing is going to be around for 6 months and if you give it even a handful of tries per day, you'll catch it soon enough.

I caught a mahi mahi that was next to the pier not directly off of the pier.

It’s there but some fish are really hard. my hubby missed out on both golden trout and string fish even though he tried every weekend. Just couldn’t catch them.

I've caught all the fish in the game. I would definitely recommend using bait for the rare fish. Also pay attention to shadow size. The mahi mahi is the largest shadow so don't bother with anything smaller. If a small shadow pops up scare it away and throw another bait. Good luck

You can find any of the pier fish anywhere on the same acre as the pier.

It's not as big as the oarfish and blue marlin. It's more sea bass / olive flounder sized.

liqorice is right! i caught mine in that exact location too, and i had wasted at least 100 fish baits from the pier with no luck.
