I mean, if I HAD to pick just one, I'd go with bug-catching. I find it to be the most exciting and fun, both diving and fishing can feel a little slow to me. But I enjoy seeing a rare bug and chasing it down!

manila clams are not your fav flavor?

I find bugs more beautiful and fascinating so I prefer bug catching. It's nice being able to see them floating around too, both because they're pretty and also because it's less tedious trying to find one you haven't caught yet.

Bugs!

I did a 365 project several years ago and photographed lots of bugs, including butterflies, weaver ants and jumping spiders. (Jumping spiders are really cute with their outrageously big round eyes.) I like catching the bugs in NH. I could never resist running after the Queen Alexandra's birdwing with my net. But, now that I don't need bells anymore, I'm just happy seeing them without catching them.

the flick model is impressive as well!

I voted for fishing because it’s relaxing and I like how we can get models crafted of the fish we catch (would love it if we could catch whales and dolphins and if cj could craft models of the diving critters). Diving would be my next choice because of the amount of money I make selling the sea life I catch.

i think i prefer diving overall.

Bug catching is nice but you can't find a whole lot in the winter,

Fishing is hard to do without the sound on (at least it's difficult for me), and to make it more efficient you need to craft bait which takes FOREVER

Both of the above require a tool, which will inevitably break

Diving however only requires a wetsuit, which will not break, and there's lots to find year-round, with the chance of obtaining pearls. PLUS, pascal and his deep truths

lol it was relaxing until i was hunting for the stringfish. :) threw so many baits to get three for the model. but the same goes for some beetles O.o

Pascal buffer is def nice.

and no broken tools.
But what if you could break your hands? I was conditioned by these breakable tools that I thought something was going to break when I went diving for multiple sea creatures.

O.o then rip fishing and bugging catching as well. luckily I have a self destruction room on my island.

The island will end where it began.

I think the only thing that would be trying to break your hands is the mantis shrimp. But yeah, you wouldn't be able to go inside buildings, either.

I went with bug catching. I don’t like digging up and crafting Manila clams and fishing in rivers and ponds is annoying to me. I like diving and it’s relaxing, but I don’t like that I can’t let the creatures go unless I swim back to shore or I have to get out to get balloons. Bug catching is nice because I can multi task and I like the models.

Bugs for the butterfly models, dive for the mermaid recipes. I don't get much out of fishing other than filling the museum.
