You're going to find 100 villagers..! Jokes aside, it depends on how big of a list of villagers you're looking for. Odds are you're going to find someone you really want, or multiple. I wish you luck!

it depends on what villager you're looking for since the game randomly chooses a species and then randomly chooses a villager from that species. so it's easier to find marina, who is part of a three villager species, than say rudy, who is part of the largest species in the game.
that being said, you're going to find 100 villagers, of which some may be repeats, so there's a pretty high chance that you will find at least someone you sort of like. if you're looking for one specific villager it may take more than 100 NMTs or you might find them after just a few visits, it really depends on how lucky you are lol!

I found one of the villagers I was searching for after 64 NMT, and I had 5 on my list. I had to steal some NMT from my bf to do this cuz I only had 60 NMT of my own XD His tickets are luckier than mine I guess. Before this, I never went island hopping with any villager in mind. I just picked whoever so it never took me long. Under 10 NMT for all three times I went before this. It really just depends how picky AND how lucky you are.
The bigger your list is, the more likely you are to encounter someone from that list.
If you're just looking for that ONE particular villager, then your chances are obviously a lot slimmer. But some people do get lucky.
I spent around 20 NMT's a few days ago and I had a broad list of villagers so I was kind of surprised to not encounter a singe villager from that list. Also, I got really exhausted at the end. lol...

Just one villager on your list? that could be tough even with 100 nmt so i am gonna wish you good luck! There are people who found that one villager they wanted in the first ticket so it can also happen to you since it is all random.
