I'm also on X. I have a copy of AS, but I just beat the game (not the Delta episode, however) and haven't transferred any of my breeding pokemon onto it, nor started with anything which could allow me to use the move tutors.

If there's still room I'd join too. But don't ban the legendaries and the megas! Where's the fun left then?

The ban list of legendaries is on the first page, Silversea posted it. I'm also now leaning more towards banning megas as well, but I'll wait for a few more opinions before a confirmed yes/no.

I think it will quite difficult to balance, if you ban megas, because then legendaries are becoming more strong.

Eh... they're stronger, but nowhere near as strong as over half of the megas.

I'd rather not, since some people will wonder why Mega A is better than Mega B, but Mega B is banned while Mega A isn't. I'm kinda open to just banning ORAS mega so XY people can join, but I'd rather just say no megas period. But if a lot of people want megas allowed, then I'm fine with it.
I'd agree with just banning ORAS megas, as all my breeding pokemon (egg move pokemon, dittos with 2-3 perfect IVs and varying natures from friend safari, etc) is on my X copy.
While I don't mind transferring over a pokemon to my copy of AS to get it some moves from the move tutor, my sub to Pokemon Bank ran out long ago, and it'd take AGES to send everything over (as I have an entire box full of various Ditto). I suppose I could just send my team over, but even that would be annoying (because I'd have to transfer them back afterwards).
So, my vote is to keep mega evolutions, but only X/Y ones. I want to say banning all megas can create an imbalance between some of the allowed legendaries and pseudo-legendaries, but I've never battled competitively before, so I really don't know.

2. My WiFi can be unstable at times (though, it hasn't dropped in a long time), but in the case where the WiFi drops during a battle, what will happen?

Since it's already battlespot doubles, why not just keep it in the traditional VGC rule format? Part of the appeal of VGC over Smogon (in my opinion) is finding creative ways to deal with threats and counters of the metagame

If WiFi drops, I guess just try again. Otherwise the person having internet problems will get disqualified.
I thought of an idea so that it could satisfy everyone. ALL megas are allowed, except if you're battling someone with XY, you can switch out your ORAS mega with someone else. Or you can have 2 different teams, an ORAS team and an XY team. Is that fine with everyone?

Okay! Gives me time to find a spot in the house with the steadiest WiFi connection, cause I'd rather not lose to a poor connection. When I lose, it'll be due to the battle, itself. XD There's one spot in my room which is pretty steady, but half the house is a deadzone.
