I just had to share I know I am possibly the last person here to get a villager pic but I finally got one in the mail from Audie She was one of my first villagers and I thought that it would never happen. Just luck I gave her a random pumpkin and my pockets were full so she had to mail it .

Which villager gave you the first pic and how long did it take?

My lazy cute little Papi was the first picture I got, to be honest it was super by accident, I mean back then I talked to my villagers and used to give gifts every now and then but it was never with an intend but then Papi gave me his photo and i felt like a rush a drug running through me and now since then I am just collecting my villagers photos and I do not let them go before I have my photo .

Dont worry there are enough villagers out there heheh, although i am starting to think what i will do with so many photos, i already run space in one of my walls in my living room. I am putting the photos up in my living room where i have the tee cup and i organized it by species

Merengue was my first! She was one of my first 5 villagers. It took her about 4-5 months to give me her photo. I know your pain, for some reason mine are taking super long too!

The first villager is Beau! It took really long, i didn't know how to do it. He's so precious, but i let him go. Its kinda an accident but it's not? I gave up on him, but still giving him gifts because he is the cutest. And suddenly he gave me his pic! I was so excited, after that I keep trying to get all my villager's photo

Do you think it’s a coincidence that the first villagers take longer to give you their photo? Just wondering if they think they are more special or something and make you work harder

There is an app that I use to try to shorten the time, its an app that tells you villagers favorite things, that way i ensure that what i give them is something that they would really and every now and then if i am not too lazy i send them post cards before going to sleep and i believe it significantly shortens the time that it takes for them to gift you their photo ( Maybe its placebo feeling about time )

I was lazy and just gave fruit, shouldn’t admit this but never sent a post card maybe that’s why they don’t like me . An app that gives villagers fav items would be very useful. Do you have a name I could search please?

Absolutely! Its called Nookea- gift guide ACNH , also always try to remember to wrap the gift and that should give you some extra points and, hehe, in the app where it says taste in fashion it tells you like their fashion style but! if you read below it says for example in Cole " orange, colorful" that also applies for the wrapping color!, so make sure to try to get their fav wrapping color

For me, they all took really long I gave up on animal crossing since I was too tired and bored. Idk why but I think (most) people's first photo is from a lazy villager. Is it a coincidence?

Congratulations on getting a villager photo. I got my first villager photo from buck. The only villager I missed getting a photo from so far is Cyrano. If I see him on a mystery island I will probably invite him back to try for his photo. The only one I still need from my current villagers is Hopper. Hopper is a permanent villager so I don’t mind how long it takes.

whitney was my first, didn't know about photos till read about them on the forums, so stopped ignoring my villagers and started to build towards photos, then opened whitney's gift and voila!

now my permanent villagers have given me several photos, have kept most but traded a few of the duplicates to trade for the photos of the villagers I had and left before I knew about it

Whitney has always been my fav I was the opposite and got Audie on a mystery island. She is a close 3rd.!! Love her but Julian will always be a close second to Whitney
