First 5 villager interior question

Hi has anyone like tried to change the furniture their villager has on their houses? Did it work? I'm planning on trying to make ironwood stuff for Lolly but I want to know first if it works lol

There is an user who managed to add some blue furniture to Punchy's house, who has in their island the lazy basic one. But I'm seeing problems when it comes to changing wallpapers and flooring.

There is also some hope because of the... real estate? Thing that was found by dataminers apparently.

The general problem is that how they change their home is too random and sometimes even weird. For example I gave Raymond by accident a red mum and one day he suddenly had 2 on his home. On the ground of course because apparently my villagers don't know how tables work.

You can't really change their interiors that much, small items they will place, but it will never look like it should.

You can give them recolored versions of the items they have and they will almost always put them up. I did this with Skye, as I gave her the entire wooden set in white, the table and bed with cloth/sheets changed to blue (same as her original house) and she put it all up! I also gave her a cute record player and a cute wardrobe and she used them as well. But I also gave her an upright piano and she didn't do anything with it (really Skye I spent so many bells on that the least you could do is use it wtf). So you can try to give her ironwood items as long as they're the exact same size as something else in her house and she might put them up!

EDIT: here's my progress on Skye's house! (She now has an anthurium plant next to the record player).

I gave her an ironwood table today and we'll see if she uses it tomorrow lol, she said she liked it but I'll only believe her words when she actually replace her table for that one lol, if not I'll try your advice and just recolor her current ones to better fit her

This is the progress on my Sherb's house. He still hasn't changed his wallpaper, and he now has an old-fashioned alarm clock in his house as well.

He always comments on really liking the furniture and color choice that I give him. The furniture I give him is based on the furniture in his actual home, so I don't know if that's why he always comments that he really likes it. I've tried changing the wall clock, but he will not change it.

Anytime he puts something up in his house, he'll comment that he'll look for a place to put it in his house. If he likes it, but won't put it in his house, he'll comment that he really likes it and he's glad that I gave it to him.

I'm not sure if they can change their walls, flooring, and anything hanging on their walls, but I'll keep trying.

Edit: the best way I found to go about it is to choose furniture for them to replace that is the same size as the furniture that you want them to move. He always replaces exactly what I want him to replace when I give him something of the same size.

Woahhh cuteee, yeah as I searched as of now no one successfully was able to make their villagers change their wallpaper/flooring unfortunately, Lolly was glad to when I gave her the ironwood table so I'm hoping that it means she'll use it lol. Thank you so much for the tips, I'd keep that in mind when choosing the furnitures that I'd give her
