Actually, I got firefox once and it was slower than IE.

Maybe you have a lot of crap running? FireFox goes the speed of light for me when it's the only window.

Download and install Firefox, But don't make it the default browser. Things will be the same as before, except You can use firefox all the bookmarks, private data will be in IE.

I do Web Design and i would choose Firefox over Internet Explorer, It runes faster and doesn't contain additional crap that normal users don't need. Your safe to download it, Trust me!
