Finally Found my 2nd Town..

I can't believe it :O has anyone else just found such a good town they are shocked?
i've been resetting for days and done 100's of resets.. and finally i found a good one

Amazing Layout & Tia, Timbra, Tangy, Stitches & Rod
Tangy, Stitches & Tia are dreamies
I cant believe ive finally got Tangy back.. she was my first friend in GC when i was 5/6
Timbra is a sheep which i love
Rod is ok

Resetting has finally paid off and i can enjoy my 2nd town

I reset my AC:CF town a bunch of times. They were never as good a layout as my first town was. It got to the point where I used homebrew and remade my first town's layout.

I vow never to reset my New Leaf town. If I did, the apocalypse would come true.

My current town (which I was happy to finally keep) had Ankha, Bluebear, Chevre, Marshal, and Sterling as starters if I remember correctly. I was pretty happy with that too, although none of them are my dreamies they are all cute and have such sweet personalities. Congratulations on your amazing new town! Sounds like the resetting was worth it!

Me too! its certainly surprassing expectations atm... ill probably have a map pic up tomorrow as my phones charging and i cant get an in game one yet, as i cant go sit on the mayor chair

That's what i thought too :') ill be stuck with all of them months down the line im planning to reset for my Uchi/Smug to get two i really want.. but then for my 8th & 9th villager im going to let them move in naturally and see who i get.. its good to have some you can dislike and let go

You lucked out on the starting villagers. I also had Tangy as my first friend back in GC too as one of my original 6! :3 I'm curious as to what your perfect layout is.

I hope you find Marshal and Mira in plot resetting. Might I suggest letting villager 6 be the first non smug/uchi vilager that tries to move in (I think it'll be a cranky for you, assuming Rod is a jock). You'll have more luck resetting for them as your 7th and 8th. ;D As about 50% of your plots on day 2 will be crankies.

I myself reset 115 times for my first town, and 169 (I think) for my current main town. But my second town only took about 20, it's not perfect, but it was pretty close and I couldn't pass up starting with 3 horses all living in perfect places.

i just started playing without even knowing about the resetting-trick, and when i learned about it, i was too far gone to just simply delete everything i had achieved - so, no resets whatsoever, even though i sometimes wish i had my town layout sucks.
but i'm happy the work paid off and you found your perfect town <3

Thats a good idea actually! if i dont manage to get a good uchi/smug in the first few resets, ill just go for the first cranky :3 as i need a few to dislike anyway, and the cranky might not be too bad!
i feel pressure with this perfect layout, its very simple, but thats why i like it, not sure if everyone else will; Retail is very close to the docks on the lower half of the map, and Town Hall & Plaza are in the center of the top half

Also forgot to mention its nice to have Timbra back as she was in Koholint (the town i had before Azalea.. i had it for 5 weeks, then made Azalea in July and still have it :3)

I have her picture too as i transferred it over from Koholint to Azalea, so means i can focus on getting the others ^^

Congrats on getting such a nice town! I didn't reset for mine, as I didn't even consider it or realize that you could. If I get a second town I'll definitely reset for layout and villagers, though.

My first town, I took the very first layout. What an idiot. I was like oh I guess they're just choosing it, and confirmed haha. So it's nothing special. The things I do like about it is like the town square is right next to main street and the store and town hall aren't far either, just a bit lower. But It's not the best layout and villagers moved in all kinds of terrible places hahaha. I had really boring villagers, too. But I didn't care at the time. And now i've learned to like it, even if it'll be a challenge to beautify lol.

My second town is a cycling town. I just chose like one of the last options. The river is really high up, and then there's this huge span of land. There's only 2 ponds. One is tiny and the other is shaped like an 8 or something. It's funky. And everyone lives right up by the river while I live down by the beach lol, so I'm just off by myself in the middle of nowhere. It had Erik and Bunnie as good starters (and some other decents like Kitty), and now Marina and Purrl have moved in. I'm trying to reset that town because I don't like the name I chose (absinthe? wth...) haha, but I don't want to just void the good people, so I'm trying to pass them on to others before I reset.

I reset 180 times when I restarted a couple of weeks ago. I was so tired of being unsatisfied with my river layout, fruit, etc so I spent three days reseting and don't regret it one bit! Love my layout minus some of the rocks and villagers. I didn't care about starting villagers since I plan on moving most of them out to get villagers from my last town to move in.
