Knowing Sakurai, he has another character or two up his sleeve to come along with Cloud on the same day (IE: Roy & Ryu along with Lucas)
Couldn't be a final presentation just for Cloud and perhaps another stage along with his.

I'm just gonna say it because I'm sick of hearing it.

The Ballot was not a competition, It was a public suggestion box for what the community would want Sakurai to consider adding to Smash Bros, it was not based on how many votes characters got, the more votes just shown more support for the character they wanted, nothing more.

What I'm saying is, it doesn't matter who "won" in terms of votes, it's just who seems the most unique in Sakurai's opinion.
If it WAS based on who got the most votes, we'd easily have Shrek and Goku as the "winners" in that case.
