Feng Shui & Redd items

I want to redo my rooms but I'm not sure if I have to keep Feng Shui around. Does anyone know the effects on the items at Redd's and the rest of the game? I'd probably focus on Green for general luck.

I found this list but I'm pretty certain it's not talking about New Leaf since we don't get Mario items from balloons.

"Place yellow furniture near the west (left) walls of your rooms to:
...increase the amount of money given by villagers as a reward
...increase the amount of time that money rocks produce money
(a yellow count of at least 73 allows an eighth successful hit)
...increase the probability of success of Bell Trees
...increase the probability of genuine paintings appearing at Crazy Redd's

Place green near the south (bottom) walls to:
...increase the probability of Spotlight items appearing at Nook's
...increase the probability of genuine paintings appearing at Crazy Redd's
...increase the probability of Crazy-Redd-only items appearing at Crazy Redd's

Place red near the east (right) walls to:
...increase the probability of Mario Theme items appearing from balloons
...increase the probability of genuine paintings appearing at Crazy Redd's
...increase the probability of Crazy-Redd-only items appearing at Crazy Redd's

From Thonky guide, don't see what from the bottom list except increasing lucky, wealth, friendship~ Redd will always have at least 1 genuine item in his store~As for Mario items can get from fortune cookie =D hope this help~

There's always one (and I think only one) genuine work of art at Redd's in ACNL. That seems to be referencing older games (GCN, WW) where he sold paintings, random items, and a few lucky/exclusive items.

Well, the ones mentioned have maximum color count (e.g., green/green or red/red or yellow/yellow). There are some items that can be refurbished to be "double" green, red, or yellow: Minimalist Clock (green/green), Hibiscus Clock (yellow/yellow), Sleek Clock (red/red), Polka-Dot Clock (green/green), Robo-Clock (green/green, red/red), Cabana Wall-Radio (gold nugget), Modern Clock (gold nugget), and Polka-Dot Clock (gold nugget).

So the refurbished color does count for feng shui? I wasn't certain about that.
