Feng Shui Keeps The Bad Luck Away!

Friday the 13th is known in the West as a day that brings forth bad luck and misfortune. However, it is said that an ancient Chinese belief called Feng Shui can help with bringing a little good fortune into your life! Who knows, maybe a little luck is what you need to nab that red balloon?

How to Participate

This activity is all about decorating and designing your humble Animal Crossing abode in a way that will bring in lots of luck and positive energy! Using any Animal Crossing game, design a room that meet the requirements of Feng Shui. Here are the requirements for your entry:

  • You may design any kind of “room” you desire (bedroom, kitchen, cafe, etc.) But you must have at least 4 yellow items, 4 red items, and 4 green items.
  • You must place these items in your room in a way that correlates to the proper Feng Shui arrangement as seen here:

    latest

  • Along with your photo, please include in your entry a list of the items you have used that contribute to Feng Shui.
Campsites and odd-sized rooms are allowed. When placing your items make sure you follow the guide above as closely as possible! Feel free to use a guide if you are unsure which items will work!

Rules

  • Please submit one photo that best shows your room. Photos must be your own and unedited (no cropping, no filters, etc.)
  • Your entry must also list the items you used for Feng Shui.
  • Submit entry by 4:00 PM EST December 14th

Prizes

  • Participation: 1 Balloon Token
  • Participation: 13 Bad Luck Charms

FAQ

What games can I use? Any game that allows furniture decorating. Eg. HHD, ACNL, Pocket Camp, Older versions

Do I have to follow the official feng shui guide exactly? No! Even if your furniture item is not listed in any guide, as long as it has the colour you are representing I will allow it. This includes refurbished furniture such as beds with "yellow" bedsheets. For furniture arrangements, please follow the image above as closely as possible.

Do duplicates count? 4 unique items for each category please! You can add more to that but that is the minimum requirement.

ah well i guess i can do the lower part of my camper or something lmao

Exciting, I love designing! Not sure whether to go with HHD or PC though hmm. Since there arent any favorites for this, might as well go with HHD so as to not ruin my camp/cabin ; v;

So wait is Katie dead in that photo? Isn't that just a little too dark for the PG audiences? I thought depicting death was a huge no-no

The requirements are 4 items of each category. So if you can somehow fit those items into your current camp/cabin and rearrange it slightly to fit the guidelines, they should work! Since pocket camp doesn't have an official feng shui items (as far as I know), I will accept any furniture/item with the majority of that colour in it!

I don't have my town anymore or a ds..

If you don't have a 3DS pocket camp is an option you can use!
