Okay, lemme just apologize in advance for asking such a noob question, but how in the heck do you put up fences in this game? I know that you have to go to the spot where you want the fence and press A, but I'll be trying to lay out a straight line of fencing and whenever I try to put it up, it ends up going sideways. And from what I can tell there's no way to rotate the fencing. So what, exactly, am I doing wrong here?

It depends on how you stand. If you look up or down and place them, they'll be horizontal. If you try to do it while standing sideways, the fences will be placed sideways as well.

I believe the fence will be places perpendicular to how you're standing, so if you're facing north, it will be placed going east to west. And for corners, I think you have to go on the outside of the corner and place it there to get the corner fence c:
