I kinda want to swap out villagers that are starters/those I do not have amiibo cards for

I just wanna keep things interesting for me and a part of me doesn't have too much interest in them. One of them is Muffy is one of my starting two and the other is Zucker (in hopes I'll find Marcel in the future)

I keep thinking between if I should or if I shouldn't...thoughts?

Well, octopi arnt hard to find on the mystery islands (due to the current RNG) so if you let Zucker go, there is the opportunity to get him back if you regret your decision.

Really? Is that why I kept coming across Octavian and kept deciding against him?

There's nothing wrong with swapping out one of your villagers. :) Ultimately, it's your island, and you have every right to pick which characters are on it with you -- and besides, if you have a change of heart someday, there's nothing stopping you from inviting them back later on. Always make the decision that will enable you to enjoy your experience with ACNH more!

Swap em out if you want. I felt bad for getting rid of my starters but ultimately i'm happy not seeing Phoebe or Poncho on my island. I have a better line up and i'm still swapping villagers out often.

You should swap them out if you really don’t want or click with them so you can get villagers you like more or that are more interesting.

i get the feeling. don't feel guilty about swapping villagers out, especially if you don't like them/have no interest in them! even if you do like them, there's nothing wrong with getting to know new ones to keep things fresh and interesting. it's your game and you should have fun with it!

I'm going to be swapping out my first five villagers because I'm not too fond of their starting houses, so I kinda feel bad too, but really it's OK. Sometimes you just gotta do it so that you're happy with your island. I know I will be much happier once I get all of my first five villagers out. So yeah, go ahead and swap them, don't feel bad. 🙂

there's nothing wrong with swapping villagers! considering this game has over 300 villagers, I think animal crossing is def meant to be played where you constantly let villagers come and go :)

More context: I was debating on swapping villagers before my birthday which is next week (I really want to celebrate my Birthday with Reneé but I kinda want to celebrate it with my starters first before I move them all out)

My approach to swapping villagers is to try and get their photos first, to have a little memento. If photos seems to much of a hard work, bring them to Harv's Island to take pictures and get their poster.

That makes me feel a little less guilty at least.

Yeah you’ll find Zucker again rather easily. I’ve swapped a few villagers already. Some because I have their amiibo. Some just because I didn’t and wanted to catalog their poster and see if they were cool.

I've been swapping a bunch of my villagers so I honestly don't think you should feel too bad. If you want to find zucker again, the octopi are the easiest to find for sure.

There's no rush to move villagers out so maybe wait until after your birthday if you're having second thoughts or feeling doubtful?

Don't feel guilty about letting the villagers move on. Everyone will think about moving on at some point and it's a huge part of animal crossing. Definitely consider moving them out though if the idea of seeing new faces around town is interesting for you.
