As 2025 comes to a close, it's time to look back at the games, hobbies, and trends that defined your year! Whether it was a game you loved, a book you couldn’t put down, your Labubu obsession, or restarting your island for the 67th time, this event is all about creating a visual "wrap-up" to celebrate your favorites of 2025!

👑 How to Participate

Create a collage or aesthetic board celebrating the things you loved in 2025! You have lots of freedom to make this look however suits you! It can be made traditionally or digitally, and must contain at least five of your favorite things from this year. Either on the submission itself or in a few sentences in your submission post, describe some of the favorite things you've included and why. Examples of things you could choose to include are your favorite: book you read, video game you played, film or TV show you watched, new food you tried, song or band you discovered, fashion trend, outfit, meme, gift you received, overall moment, holiday, etc.

Example submission:

My favourite purchase this year was the Nintendo Switch 2, which also allowed me to play some of my favourite games of the year! It also meant I could start a new island on Switch 2, with my favourite moment on my new island so far being Puck moving in!

  • Your entry must meet the theme of "your favorites of 2025"; the interpretation of that is up to you.
  • All submissions must be suitable for a PG-13 audience.
  • You must attach the image of your entry and check "entry" on the attachment's thumbnail. (See this post from a previous event if you're unsure how.)

Happy creating!

I feel called out 😝 but yes i am definitely going to be including Labubus in my moodboard
I had already written the introductory text before you posted in the What did you get for Christmas? thread, but I was so pleased!!! 😏

PS I approve of the bobs burgers in your moodboard example

The announcement of a new Tomodachi Life game was my favorite part of the year. I’d been hoping for one for years. I also fell back in love with The Sims 2 and spent so much time playing this year.

I started listening to audiobooks at work and the ones I picked were my favorites. They really helped me get through the day. I finally finished watching Supernatural, a show my boyfriend recommended when we first met. Watching it together over the years became one of our favorite things, which made it really special to us. 🖤

While 2025 wasn't the best year for me, there are still some special moments that made up for the hardships and challenges I've faced. Keep your head up, even when life gets difficult!
My username is next to the Stardew Valley screenshot, though it's rather small. ^^"
CD Collection
My collection has grown to 60+ CDs since the beginning of the year, and I hope to get more in the future! I recently bought Bleach by Nirvana and 72 Seasons by Metallica, which I've been wanting for a while. :0

Arts & Crafts
I tried out some crafts (specifically Rainbow Loom and a sock cat) this year and I'm happy with the result, plus plenty of digital drawing with an art style that improves more with each piece. The cat is @Suguri's OC, Crisp, who is absolutely adorable and fun to draw. 🧡

Perfection in Stardew Valley
I managed to reach perfection in the game despite some hiatuses and a stupid amount of money-grinding, and it was one of the best gaming experiences I've had yet!

Megadeth Tickets
I was granted tickets to see one of my favorite bands in 2026, and words cannot express how elated and thrilled I am to have such an amazing opportunity awaiting for me. 🥹 "Let there be shred!" \m/

Dog Man Movie
Hearing about my childhood book series becoming a movie was a dream come true, and it certainly didn't disappoint! The animation is accurate to the books and is a faithful adaptation that anyone can enjoy. I absolutely love it!

my highlights of 2025:

featured-favorites.png

i really set out the goal this year to do more interesting things while remembering to take pictures of it, and i felt like i really achieved that! (going to markets, travelling, new nail sets, new tattoos, dyeing my hair, recipe testing)
i went to a whole bunch of markets with my sister or with friends this year. two of the more notable ones would be going to the newly opened Artist Alley in the city where i was able to get the infamous 3AM mac n cheese haikyuu print and going to this year's Happy Cute Market again, this time a former high school classmate of mine was vending so my sister and i were happy to get another bunny plush to add to our collection. she hand makes them herself :0!!

@/irescien and i went to the Stray Kids concert that happened at the newly erected Rogers Stadium awjmefnjwrbg that was an interesting but really fun experience. this is our second kpop concert together!! we had a really great brunch before heading over, the setlist was amazing, we met some really nice people there, and i was even able to catch some confetti for myself, @/irescien, and the girl sitting in front of me hehe c:

i've been getting my nails done since october since i just wanted to get something fun for halloween, but also to get something a little more durable to help protect my nails. i switched nail artists and i'm really fond of my current one! she freestyled the design of the evangelion x hello kitty set and my christmas set, we just yapped about genshin's latest update the whole appointment.

speaking about genshin impact, i've gotten back into it again and i've been really enjoying the game again. it used to really feel like a burden or a chore since there was simply too much to do but outside of timed events, i've just been doing things one at a time so it's been a lot more fun that way. also helps a whole bunch when @/chere is basically on my account more than i am nowadays... i've just been picking up more and more shifts so less time to game.

i got two more tattoos this year!!!!! my beloved coraline and alice tattoos that i love love love so much. the coraline tattoo was super interesting seeing it come to life since the artist used four different needle tips in order to get the shading done. my cousin had sent me a post of a korean artist coming to do a guest spot so i looked through their flashes and needed to get the alice bunny. i just love how both of them turned out so much plus it was nice that my sister was with me for the coraline one and @/chere was with me for the alice bunny one :>

It only occurred to me AFTER I found the pictures that I didn't need to put the texts. Usually when I scrapbook or do collages, I write little blurbs out in handwriting. Let me know if you want me to resubmit without the texts

Here are my highlights from 2025! 💜
2025YearinReview(1).png

In no particular order...
  • My top 3 games I got excited for when they were announced this year were Rhythm Heaven Groove, Tomodachi Life: Living The Dream, and Pokémon Pokopia! The latter was what made me especially want a Switch 2! Seeing two of my favorite Nintendo franchises return after so long was a nice surprise, and a Pokémon life sim was like a dream come true for me. <3
  • Speaking of gaming, I rediscovered my long-lost New 2DS XL while I was trying to bring something out of our backyard shed. I was sooo ecstatic because I've been looking for that for years, and the 3DS is basically my all-time favorite video game console! I played my top 2 favorite games of the year there, those being Picross 3D and Tomodachi Life. I even 100% completed the former, which goes to show how much I dig the gameplay there hehe.
  • I wouldn't say I made a lot of progress in my art, but I got plenty of opportunities to experiment with my style this year. When I found my console, I was able to make a few drawings on Flipnote Studio; I thought I wouldn't like it at first, but the program was easier for me to adapt to than I realized, and I'm proud of what I drew there! (One of the drawings shown is of Char, an OC by @/ZeldaCrossing64.)
  • During TBT's Valentine's Day event, I spent a lot of time working on a collage for one of the activities there. It's one of my favorite things I ever crafted, and I'm hoping to give making another one a shot when the time comes!
  • What do you get when you combine a gal who's read some Dog Man books but initially didn't care about them, and her BFF who's still in love with the series at age 18? A Dog Man fanatic, that's who! (aka me lol). Revisiting my childhood was one of the best decisions I ever made and I strongly recommend the series to anyone who wants to be inspired...and can tolerate potty humor. :P I even watched the movie adaptation, and it was just as great too! Of all the books released, my favorite is For Whom The Ball Rolls.
  • Time to talk about food! On my birthday, we went to a ramen restaurant and the food tasted so good. I'm hoping we can go there again on my next birthday, but I doubt it to be honest. But on the days leading up to Christmas, I whipped up lots of good food, like popcorn balls and gingerbread men! (Gingerbread men not pictured unfortunately.) My relatives enjoyed the food when I brought them over to their Christmas party.
  • I know I haven't seen Pokémon Horizons in so long, but my favorite video game character appearing in a split-second cameo in an episode I have yet to get to is definitely a highlight for sure. Kieran is the greatest!! Wowzers!!!
  • Finally, I participated in @/Balverine's Secret Santa for the second time and I managed to draw for @/Shawnfuzz. I then got a drawing of my kitties from @/Ginny Potter! Thank you again!!

1.) The game Yume 2kki has been consuming all my hobby time... It is just THAT good. One of the best parts about it is you could play it for hours or just 30 minutes and still make a lot of progress. The background in one of my favorite maps in the game: Magical Passage!
2.) I've been doing drawing for a dress up game in beta and it's been a lot of fun customizing my character. The face the picture is wearing is one I drew!
3.) My favorite artist Kira Imai released as exhibition this year called "Lace". I bought the special edition as I love all of their post cards!
4.) Frieren: Beyond Journey's End was a very beautiful anime that came out and it made me feel no other way than any anime... very heartwarming.
5.) It's the logo from my favorite clothing brand; Alice and the Pirates!

2025 has been extremely rough, but there were plenty of things that helped me hang in there and that meant a lot to me. I had to postpone my Among Us sessions, but while they were still going on, the game sessions have been a lot of fun and a great distraction from problems at home and other things. I made some new friends from the sessions which I’m grateful for; everyone has been really understanding and supportive when I’ve needed a break.

Earlier in the year, I was really happy with some drawings I did for an event and that the events helped me get the hang of digital drawing more. For the Valentine’s event, I drew Sigewinne from Genshin Impact and for the collectible contest, I drew an Among Us shapeshifter egg. Both are special to me since I think they were in some way a progress check for me. I had only just started drawing digitally a few months prior to that. I’m really proud of how they turned out; hopefully I can get back to drawing in time and improve more and finish my overdue projects.

The third image on the second line was my entry in the Valentine’s event. I had a lot of fun particularly with the activity that it was for since I enjoy making collages and photo edits on my own time. The collage that I put together really made me happy since I got to include a bit of what make me happy, while also trying to show what an ideal Valentine’s Day would be for me.

For a few months at least, I was playing Pokemon Sword a lot, hatching eggs for shinies and playing through the story. It helped me destress a lot. Talking to some friends about Pokemon had helped renew my interest in the games and got me back to playing a bit of Violet and then Sword. On the bottom row, I included a screenshot of one of the disaster sandwiches that I made with Azurill and TheSillyPuppy; I had fun shiny hunting and doing a few raids with them in Violet.

The ACNH picture is not a recent screenshot but one from a couple of years ago. One of the things that has meant a lot to me that happened was reconnecting with Pyoopi and Nefarious. Reconnecting has helped me appreciate the time we had spent together such as the screenshot I included, and both of them for their kindness and patience with me more than ever.

The two kittens in the next picture are my sister’s! This was another big highlight of the year; she adopted two kittens a few months ago. I love them both so much and I’m so happy for my nieces since they all wanted kittens so much. I feel like it has been a bit more easier to bond with them lately too.

I included Spanky and Jewels on the bottom too because they’re what helps keep me going each day; they both make me so happy.

On the far right I included my Fantasy Life character and the two customized designs I’m debating between. I just recently bought this game and I’m really hooked.

Behind and slightly above my character, I included Justine & Caroline from Persona 5 Phantom X since that is another game that I’ve lately been playing and enjoying.

This year in 2025 I discovered new products and content. I received a slushy machine as a gift this year and I have not stopped making slushies since my favourite ones are tropical juice flavours. I also love the show IT Welcome To Derry the writing was so good I loved all the storylines. I also enjoyed the visuals from the effects to the camera angles it was just a really good show.

I also received a Switch 2 for Christmas which I have not stopped playing Mario Kart World on. I got Hello Kitty Island Adventures for my birthday gift which I have enjoyed playing as a relaxing game. I am also obsessed with the Pointe shoe heels as an Ex Ballerina myself these are so amazing and I have enjoyed watching others design outfits with them. When they get restocked I shall be ordering a pair.

2025 has been tough at times but so much happiness too. These are just a few of the amazing things that happened.

I have had so much fun playing Pokemon Violet with Dunquixote and TheSillyPuppy . Making shiny sandwhiches , looking for shiny Pokemon and raids. Thank you both for so for the tips . I have had so much better luck looking for shinies and taking on those raids thanks to you both.

Thanks so much to Dunquixote for inviting me to play among us. It was so much fun getting to play with everyone. I got to know and become friends with so many amazing people. You have all helped me more than you will ever know.

Getting to hang out and play ACNH with ~Blue~ and TheSillyPuppy was so much fun. I hope we can all play together more next year.

I wasn’t sure when I would get a switch 2 but my mom gifted me one for my birthday with ZA. Incredibly grateful to her and my bestie who completely surprised me with Mario kart world. I hope they both know how incredible they are and how much they both helped me this year.

We took a few trips this year. During my Birthday trip to the beach my mom surprised me with a boat trip. We saw so many dolphins.

In the beginning of the year we took Aurora on a hiking / camping trip to see the waterfalls. It was such a fun peaceful trip.

Wishing you all an amazing New Year.

So I’ve had a bit of a wild year, started collecting pokemon cards and pulled some beauties🤩

Got obsessed with ‘the summer I turned pretty’ - see the Conrad Fisher T-shirt ofc I am team Connie!

Took the kids to LegoLand in the Easter holidays which they absolutely loved and their first time there!

We got flew out all expenses paid to the Esports World Cup in Saudi Arabia to watch Call of Duty as a ‘super fan’ of Toronto KOI - the most insane experience of my life so far, met some of the Call of Duty pro players, nearly melted and got to experience Saudi culture.

Started streaming in March/April and built a gorgeous lil community! Have had to take some time off through nov/dec as I have been really poorly but all in all really enjoyed meeting and speaking to new people!

My kids went abroad to New York for their first ever time on a plane! Ofc I cried the whole time lol but FaceTiming them and seeing their faces was worth every bit of stress.

1 & 2: Won tickets to see two concerts this year. Seeing Morrissey was a dream come true, and seeing Our Lady Peace brought me back to my teenage years.
3: Really enjoyed the anime series 'Touring After the Apocalypse.' The scenery is gorgeous, and the episodes are very bittersweet.
4. Been enjoying the game 'Pokémon Legends: Z-A.' Not quite finished, but it's such a great way for me to unwind after work.
5. Spent the majority of the summer trying matcha lattes from different cafes. Doing so gave me a chance to get out and explore my city more.
6. Jumped on the Labubu trend this year. It allowed me to reconnect with some of my other hobbies, including crocheting and photography.

2025 has been a year of discovery and rediscovery.

Games : I decided to go back to old games instead of buying the Switch 2. I played through Breath of the Wild and Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town on the Switch 1 for relaxation rather than intense gameplay.

Shows: I discovered a new series called Wire in the Blood on Britbox that's become one of my favourite series. I rediscovered Ugly Betty the original and finally finished the series.

Travel: I traveled with my husband to Moab in Utah, US for our 4th anniversary trip. It was a fun trip to a new place.

Music: I rediscovered Enigma the band and have been going through their old albums. I discovered a new band called Clamavi de Profundis which does fantasy/medieval-like music.
