Event is open!
New
As 2025 comes to a close, it's time to look back at the games, hobbies, and trends that defined your year! Whether it was a game you loved, a book you couldn’t put down, your Labubu obsession, or restarting your island for the 67th time, this event is all about creating a visual "wrap-up" to celebrate your favorites of 2025!
Create a collage or aesthetic board celebrating the things you loved in 2025! You have lots of freedom to make this look however suits you! It can be made traditionally or digitally, and must contain at least five of your favorite things from this year. Either on the submission itself or in a few sentences in your submission post, describe some of the favorite things you've included and why. Examples of things you could choose to include are your favorite: book you read, video game you played, film or TV show you watched, new food you tried, song or band you discovered, fashion trend, outfit, meme, gift you received, overall moment, holiday, etc.
Example submission:
My favourite purchase this year was the Nintendo Switch 2, which also allowed me to play some of my favourite games of the year! It also meant I could start a new island on Switch 2, with my favourite moment on my new island so far being Puck moving in!
Enter by posting an image of your completed board (including the required text and your name card or username) in this thread no later than Sunday, 11 January 2026 at 11:59 PM EST.
- Your collage may be either physical or digital. Physical entries must include a physical name card or be otherwise written on your entry. Digital entries must have your username written on the entry itself.
- You must assemble the collage yourself. You may source materials from other locations, such as magazine pictures, online images, photos, etc. If you use someone else's artwork in your entry, we ask that you respectfully give credit to the original artist in your post. You may, of course, use your own artwork as well.
- Your collage must include a minimum of 5 items in order to be accepted. There is no maximum.
- Your entry must meet the theme of "your favorites of 2025"; the interpretation of that is up to you.
- All submissions must be suitable for a PG-13 audience.
- You must attach the image of your entry and check "entry" on the attachment's thumbnail. (See this post from a previous event if you're unsure how.)
- All entries are final once submitted. Please do not edit your entry after submission unless requested by a staff member.
- Please ensure your submission shows care and detail, and meaningfully reflects the event's theme.
Before you submit, make sure:
An accepted entry will award 12 Countdown Coins and 2 Lucky Tickets!
What type of materials may I use?
Any two-dimensional crafting materials (e.g., paper, stickers, magazine clippings) are acceptable along with photos, artwork, images, clip-art, emojis, and more. If you have doubts about something you want to use, please feel free to ask!
Am I allowed to craft or draw things to include in my collage?
Yes! You may use both pre-made items or draw/craft elements yourself. You may use images you find or create your own. Also, feel free to use a mixture of both! If you use artwork made by others, make sure to properly credit them in your submission post.
May I use AI-generated art in this event?
You may not use AI-generated art or text in this event, nor elsewhere on the forum. If you are sourcing images online, please be thoughtful about where you're sourcing images from.
Do I need to provide references for my artwork or the images I use?
If you use another artist's artwork, we ask that you credit them in your submission post somewhere. You do not need to credit official assets. You do not need to provide references for your own artwork.
Happy creating!
