fear of pre paid cards not working

No I trust my employees to activate it. Keep the receipt and if it don't work go back or call Nintendo.

I never had a problem with prepaid cards. But I don't use them at all anymore as I have my Mastercard linked to my eShop account. I can't remember if i was able to use my Virtual Visa (withdraws from your checking account) or not though...

I've only had one pre-paid card not work, and I just took it back to where I bought to get a replacement(turned out the cashier forgot to activate the card after I paid for it)

I stopped having this problem when GAME started printing the codes on receipts instead of activating cards, so f they didn't do it properly you wouldn't even get the receipt! I did have trouble with the e-shop on my Wii, it always declined pre-paid cards...

Oh I trust prepaid card. They all work for me. Maybe you got scammed by the seller because he thought you were quite young? Or I don't know.

The thought always crosses my mind, but I always have used them because I am more worried about putting my credit card number on the internet. I have never had any problems with prepaid cards, but if the site your putting your credit card on gets hacked you'll have something to worry about then.

This.
You pretty much can't screw it up after that. Unless you're an idiot and got a scratched card, as long as they activate it I've literally never heard of any problems ever with any prepaid card. Ever. Just non-activation problems. But not to say something bad can't happen. But it seems pretty fool proof.
Tbh if anyone is really paranoid, just take the stack of cards off and pull from the middle.

Well you save the receipt... and make sure you're going to be able to get back to the store before the whole thing expires. If you enter a code that hasn't been activated it just doesn't do anything. The code will still work once you go back and have them activate it properly.
