Favourite villager type of each gender?

Whose your favourite villager type of each gender and why? Mine are...

Male - Lazy

They're just so adorable and... chill. I just feel like I have the biggest connection with them. Maybe I do with crankies sometimes as I feel like they're family after a while, but Lazies are my buds. Plus, they love food, and that I can relate to as well. It's also so cute when they worry that another villager is allergic to them.

Female - Normal

One again, they're really adorable. Most of my town's females are normal villagers with the exception of Bianca. They're super nice and sweet to you, and also give you a ton of free stuff when you talk to them! And they always play my favourite KK songs in their houses.

Male: Cranky
I think it's because they're so grumpy that it feels extra good when they do say nice things. Since they seem to be a bit older than the other personalities, they tend to feel like a friendly older brother, always looking out for you, but also occasionally making fun of you in that kind of endearing way.

Female: Uchi
I really like all the female personalities, but the uchis just say the most interesting things, imo. They're both girly and tomboyish, and they're friendly but in a more relaxed way than the others. Normal villagers seem so shy, which is adorable, but if I ever met someone irl who was similar to an uchi personality, I'd probably be able to relax and feel comfortable around them more easily.

Male: Jock
This was so tough to choose (smug is a close second!) I find that the jocks say the most amusing things, I've actually chuckled out loud at some of their comments. I also feel like jock (and smug, too) have a wider variety of things they talk to me about than the others.

Female: Peppy
Without a doubt, I love peppies, they make me so happy. They seem to be kind of "out there," a little bit wacky, but a ton of fun. They are always in a good mood and I always smile when I talk to them. They're the villager type that I will talk to over and over just because.

Male: hm.. Most likely Smug. I like how they're secret nerds on the inside.

Female: Uchi. I can always relate to them. However, I'm not good at sports so that's not one of the features I share with the uchis xD

My first lazy was Cranston, and after all these months he's still in my town. He's definitely never qualified as one of my dreamies but omg, I just got so attached to his hilarious and (depressingly) relatable personality eheh. I doubt I'll ever be able to let him go, he makes me actually laugh out loud more than any other villager.

Female: Normal
Normals are just so sweet and shy, it's adorable c: They just seem so genuine, I don't know, they're comforting.
This was actually a tough choice since I love the uchi personality too. They have a perfect balance of tomboyish and feminine traits, and their dialogue can be pretty amusing. I have three of them in my main town at the moment, I think I have an addiction.

Male is a close tie between lazy and cranky for me. Lazy definitely wins in WW but in NL, crankies are like killing me in the heart oh god they're adorable.


Female is probably peppy for NL! They grow on me a lot despite the fact I usually initially find them obnoxious haha.

I think the smug characters are really cute, even the ones like Beardo haha. The way they act is just really awesome.

I think the normal characters are adorable, simple as that.

There is just something so cute an sweet about them. I find their obsession with food funny. They are just lovable and child-like. One track mind with them.

Female: Uchi.. Tied closely with normal though. I find their conversations and opinions and manner of speaking wonderful. They are always a little disarming and surprise me the most. They have the most colorful and fun personality to me.

I do love my normals though. I relate to them the most. Shy and sweet and love to read. They are just sweethearts.

These two groups are the most down-to-earth, easiest-to-get-along-with villagers in the game. There is innocence and sweetness to both. It's relatable that the Lazy villagers think about food. It's relatable that Normal villagers are nurturing.

At least one-third of Top Tier popularity-ranked villagers, from Village Trading Plaza (and pertaining to The Bell Tree Forums), are Normals. There is an emotional connection to the likes of Merengue, Marina, Lolly, Fauna, and Tia?to name those instantly springing to mind?and even one of the fastest-rising is also a Normal. I'm referring to Molly.

When it comes to the Lazy villagers, the likes of Stitches, Beau, and Erik instantly spring to mind as Top Tier in rank. You combine them with the above-mentioned Normals, and half the list are comprised of Lazy/Normal villagers.

Lazy and Uchi dialogue is hilarious and adorable. Normal is a close second to uchi because the dialogue for them is adorable as well, just in a more "b'aww" sort of way.

Female: Snooty. Sure they're not as rude as the older days but they say the most amusing things.

They're all so adorable! My favorite thing is when the smaller jocks talk about their "rippling muscles" or how they can't fit into a wetsuit because of their muscles.

Female - Uchi
They're easy to get along with, but at the same time I feel like they could probably easily beat someone up if they had to.
