I assuming we all have friends (locally or online) and I'm wondering what your favourite multiplayer games are. I personally don't see any enjoyment in playing online. If I want to trash talk someone I'd much rather do it to my friends face to face, so all my choices are played locally (regardless if they can be played online or not)
Dragon's Crown (PS3)
Mario Party 9 (Wii)
Super Smash Bros. Melee (Gamecube)
Taiko no Tatsujin: Chougoukaban (Wii)
Taiko no Tatsujin Wii: Minna de Party * 3-Daime! (Wii)
Tekken Tag Tournament 2 [4P Pair Play only] (PS3)
Counter-Strike, Team Fortress 2, Dungeon Defenders, Torchlight 2, World of Warcraft, Starbound, Civilization V, RUST, Ticket to Ride, Minecraft... to name a few.
Well, for me, Team Forteess 2, Garry's Mod, and Minecraft are the most fun. Excluding how good they are by themselves, I feel as if they really bring people together. I mean, Team Fortress 2 is literally a team of people, which I think speaks for itself. In order to win, you must have faith within your teammates. Garry's Mod brings a more productive side to the concept of teamwork, being host to an almost endless variety of content which, as a result, excludes nobody from having a good time. Minecraft is pretty much the same, allowing people to do practically anything they want, restricted only by what they can imagine. The concept of working together is definitely one of my most favourite forms of multiplayer gaming.
I used to be obsessed with World or Warcraft a while ago, stopped playing it for a while, kind of missing is again.
Ah, aside from that if Dead or Alive 5: Ultimate counts for anything I spend some time with that.
