Fauna, she's beautiful. I like her natural look, and her bambi spots are cute as hell.
I have to go with Zell. He was with me for ages in my CF game and lived next door
I think you might be confused with a different villager. Zell wasn't in City folk, like the op said; deer have been newly introduced in New Leaf.
My favourite is Deirdre, she is also my favourite ACNL villager I guess.

They're all good, but Fauna is the best! She's very sweet, and she's a cutie pie! 
Bam definitely! He was one of my first villagers when I reset my town last year before I joined the forums, but he moved away recently. Hopefully I'll get him back soon
