favourite composers?

Ludwig van Beethoven. For two reasons:

1. Ludwig von Koopa, the guy in my avatar and my favorite video game character, was named after him.
2. Symphony No. 5 is my *****.

I FORGOT SOME PEOPLE ACK.
Okay so not counting the composers that are already dead, here are some others.

Nobuo Uematsu. Enough said.
But really, the Final Fantasy games have been such a huge part of my childhood and just life in general, and the music has always been top notch. The majority of my iTunes is FF soundtracks, but my absolute favorite has to be FFX. I cried so many times during the game because the story paired with the music gives me such emotions.

LISTEN TO THIS AND TELL ME IT'S NOT BEAUTIFUL I DARE YOU.

Joe Hiashi, for his work in Studio Ghibli movies. Much like what Nobuo Uematsu does for the Final Fantasy series, Hiashi does for these movies. His work very much adds to the atmosphere and overall impact. I get so nostalgic listening to the soundtracks.

Spirited Away is my absolute favorite Ghibli movie, and the soundtrack's my favorite too.

I just found this and OMG I need to watch it in it's entirety soon!

Going along with movies again, I quite like John Williams. He's probably one of the most well known movie scorers today. Particularly, I like his work for Memoirs of a Geisha. I fell in love with the music from there, and that's what got me to start looking into him.

This one is my favorite from the movie, but everything else is lovely too.

Okay. I'm done now I swear. Sorry guys.

But! On a not entirely unrelated note, if any of you in this thread love classical music and like watching anime, I would recommend Nodame Cantabile to you. There's so much classical music in that show, it's lovely.

I'd also recommend Princess Tutu for this reason.

My favorite composer of all time is Ennio Morricone. I really love his music for the Spaghetti Westerns because it's just so epic and beautiful. <3
Yann Tiersen, Susumu Hirasawa, Yanni, and Koji Kondo are also favorites of mine.

Aww, not one person has mentioned Joe Hisashi yet! He's a big part of why I enjoy Miyazaki's films so much c: Will also leave a piece by Chopin here since it was stuck in my head all day yesterday:

Omg! Last year in Honor Band we played one his songs (but arranged from band). We played My Neighbor Totoro :D
