Snooty is my all time favorite, then Cranky, Smug and Uchi are a close tie.

Personally, I would say lazy or normal. Lazy because I am a total foodie and completely relate to them in that way. And normal because.. They're just so cute! I always have seen them as nerdly little bookworms who have a lot of different hobbies such as cooking. :> Plus I love so many of the normal villager designs.

Cranky villagers are the BOMB DIGGITY.
They're funny old dudes trying too hard to be hip and cool. I love 'em so much.
When I was little playing the first game the crankies scared me & I liked the lazy ones the best. I still like the lazy personality, but it's kind of watered down in this game as compared to previous one.
Not that anyone asked for my opinion on this but I dislike smug villagers because they seem like pretentious hipsters (not saying all hipsters are pretentious, don't take offense!) and are constantly hitting on the player.
