I use country fences and hedges the most because it seems to be the most versatile that can fit almost anywhere imo. I do use a variety of fences depending on the place though. Some of the fences would have greatly benefited having a color swap.

I use a variety of fences on my island! It's hard to pick a favourite fence because it depends on the theme of the area that the fence is in. The simple wooden fence and vertical-board fence are great for creating little neighbourhoods, country fence is great for creating a forest area, brick fence is great for creating a town plaza area, iron-and-stone fence is awesome for cemeteries and boxing in a fountain... I could go on and on
I don’t like fences, only used them to get the 5 star rating because Isabelle told me so. Then I gradually took them away after I got the gold watering can diy. I would rather prefer bushes and flowers when I have a choice. As for all the fences, if I have to pick, hedges would be my top choice. I like zen fences but just don’t know how and where to put them.

In terms of looks, I like the country fence best. But I only use the zen fence because I have a zen garden.
Other than that, there are no fences on my island. I dislike fences because they get in my way. When I'm walking around, I like being able to walk wherever I want. So even though fences are useful because they help to organize and demarcate different areas, I don't use them.

I personally like the stone wall and the hedge a lot. They're a bit fatter than most other fences so they do not have as much empty space next to them when placed in a vertical row, and I just love the way they look in general!

i like the country fence and hedge, they just look good and i find that hedges are great decoration.
I like the blue iron fence, barbed wire, and country fencing. I use those most around town. I’d love the fencing you see at Harvey’s shack and I wish they were available to us without hacking
I really like the imperial fence, I used it to line the path of my bamboo forest-ish area leading up to Kabuki's house and I think it looks really good. I like the stone wall too, it gives me English countryside village vibes and I'll probably use it at some point for villager's houses. I've also used the iron-and-stone fence for Lucky's graveyard and it works perfectly.

i think most, if not all of the fencing on my island atm is country fencing. i'm planning on adding other types but in the areas i've currently developed this fencing fits best!

the hedge fence is my bff. a secondary is the iron and stone i use pretty much just those on my island
I'm into the country fencing the most, it's all over my island :') After that, I use the rope fencing in a little beachside cafe area + along the beach in general, the barbed wire + straw fences in a farm / orchard area, and the corral fencing around a few of my villagers' houses. In general I don't have any long extended sections of fence, though, it's all broken up into 1-3 piece sections.
No hedges, mostly because I'd rather use shrubs and also because Leif didn't give me that DIY until after I'd put down most of the other fencing already, thanks a lot, Leif.
