Have you woken him up? You need to keep talking to him in order to do his quests.

i normally "talk" to him 3 times to see if he'll wake up, but so far nothing

You need to keep talking to him until he wakes up. It usually takes more than 3 tries. If you just leave him there you can't get anything from him.

Gulliver. Not for what I can get from him but just cause his dialogue's entertaining to me. I do like Saharah's dialogue too, she clearly enjoys the money she makes just doing her thing Daisy Mae just has an interesting tone of voice that really sells her character.

Definitely Redd! But I've only seen him three times so far...

While I'm happy to see Leif, every time I do see him I'm reminded I can't store bushes, which always irritates me. I don't want to buy a ton of them via seeds because I somehow manage to never use them, yet when I don't have seeds, I always need more.

I'm also always happy to see Celeste, but I keep getting repeats of the same DIY recipes!!

Hmm, my favorite would have to be Celeste though because I really love stars and constellations and all of that XD Other visitors I like are Redd, Label, Flick, Gulliver, and the little ghosty...Wisp?! I wish Nintendo would sprinkle in some new Villagers that looks like Flick next year. That would be awesome!
